Description
I got me Pokemon LeafGreen, and during the course of the game, I crushed my Rival's dreams, destroyed his innocence, and ultimately snatched away the love and praise from his grandfather.Oh, did I mention that I might have killed his Raticate?

...Ugh, I HATE it when other people have the same idea(s)as me, especially when they also beat me to it--like this pic, for example
...Except Gary'd actually know what I'm talking about, let me offer an apologetic hug, etc.
Oh, and when I beat him at the League and his Grandpa shows up, I'll totally go all-out Foamy-rant on the old man for scolding his own grandson!

"gary's raticate" was a fan fiction about y gary no longer having a raticate on the team yet strangely he's at pokemon tower, a cemetery, and was asking about how it feels to lose a pokemon. apparently raticate was badly injured after the rival battle but due to the crowd and confusion in the ss anne, gary didn't make it to the pokemon center in time. a sad fan fiction, but nintendo nor game freak admitted to this story. for all i know raticate wasn't good in battle anymore and was either released or sent to oak and gary went to pokemon tower to get a cubone.

well lavender town gen 1 is one of the darkest parts of the series. it had a graveyard, a sad story of the marowak ghost as well as fanfics, "the music of death", and even holds the identity of missingno through research. i also enjoyed the music of lavender town (i was never creeped out of it)

Oh yeah I know all about Lavender town.I forgot about the marowak thing though. That messed me up as a kid, even though I loved lavender town. It was my favorite part of the game. (I was a messed up kid)

Okay... for people who didn't know, the rival in R/B (and possibly FR/LG, I wasn't really paying attention durring that game) had a rattata in the 3rd battle (and a raticate in th 4th battle in yellow) That never appeared again after that one battle.
In the 5th battle, you find him at pokemon tower, a graveyard, where he asks you if your pokemon died, implying that that would be the only reason you'd be there.
What was he doing there? Did he just decide to take a random stroll through a tower full of the festering corpses of pokemon? Or was he burying his poor raticate, which you may or may-not have accidently-on-purpous killed and then challenging you to a battle to try and avenge his pet?
Anyway, that's the rumor.

- He was there to catch a Cubone, but yeah, that's pretty much the gist of it. d:

Its about the battle you had with your rival, ( i think the one on ss anne)
After the battle, his raticate was badly injured, and because your rival couldnt heal him, he suffered and died, thats why he was at the pokemon tower in lavender and battled you. He also wanted to become better then you, the very best. for revenge.
So..We killed raticate.

My God! Don't tell me you didn't knew about the ghosts. At least I managed to covered the graves with cement, preventing them from escaping.
