Forged in the antediluvian age before the world's first dawn, the Apocalypse Codex was the profane creation of a cult devoted to the Unraveler - a being of primordial entropy whose very existence represents the heat death of all reality. The codex's pages are bound in flayed skin and inscribed with blasphemous logographies that instill maddening visions in those who dare read the eldritch texts.

It is whispered that the codex was scribed in a forgotten black tongue by the desperate survivors of a dead universe, who sought to pass on the apocalyptic rites that unmade their former reality in hopes of birthing a new cosmos from the ashes. Properties of the Apocalypse Codex:
Oblivion's Harbinger: The bearer can invoke blasphemous rites to transform themselves into an Avatar of Unmaking, adding necrotic damage to all attacks and granting resistance to necrotic and radiant damage.
Fissure of Unraveling: Once per dawn, the wielder can tear an interdimensional rift, allowing them to summon malefic entities or travel to alien realms.
Apocalypse Rain: At the cosmic price of sacrificing 1 level, the bearer can unleash an apocalyptic downpour of eldritch fire that engulfs a 1 mile radius, as the spell Meteor Swarm.

Curses of the Apocalypse Codex:
Whispers of the Void: The codex's insidious whispers fill the bearer's mind with visions of the howling abyss, imparting a -2 penalty to all Wisdom saving throws.
Wasting Dissolution: Every use of the codex's necropowers ages the wielder significantly, applying disadvantage to Constitution saving throws.
Eternal Hunger: The more the codex tastes annihilation, the more it craves destruction. After invoking oblivion, the wielder must pass a DC 18 Charisma save or be overcome with an insatiable need to unmake.
