Description
The 391st Fighter Squadron (391 FS) is part of the 366th Fighter Wing at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. It operates F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft conducting close air support missions. This one of my works that I finished back in March while I was in Mexico but did not have time to post it. here it is, any likers?....

As an engine troop that operates within the fighter wing its a true pleasure to see how accurate and how beautifully you portray these birds and for that I thank you. Definitely one of my favorites.

Can you imagine how maneuverable these things would be in space? Β It's a random thought that I had to put out there. Β I love the F-15 and all of its variants. Β I never use any other plane in Ace Combat once I'm able to buy this beauty. Β The F-22 is good, but I don't think any plane says "The heroes have arrived!" better than the Strike Eagle.

Yeah, the idea of jets capable of flying into the space crossed my mind too, but imagine the amount of fuel those need in that case. The F-15E can consume the fuel of all its tanks as fast as you can finish a soda can when it is on full-throttle. They must first invent more efficient fuels-consuming engines before that dream comes true.

Just... just forget the real-life needs of the plane for a minute. Β The only thing preventing a plane from being more maneuverable is air resistance (I think, not too clear on the real science, but I know how planes work). Β Compare the normal capabilities of an F-15 in an atmosphere, then move it to space, removing the atmospheric restrictions. Β The old girls would be flying circles around a lot of things.

but don't forget that the F-15 is not the most manoeuvrable bird out there.
