The method may be absurd, but it was pretty effective too! The trap's effectiveness is good info for the setter to have for future Blade capturing endeavors, which means we may see this style of trap become more common as it proves its effectiveness.
Poor Pandy, being used as an experimental trial for nefarious deeds. Of course, with such a small and unassuming trap, the assailant might just forget where they put it. Given her predicament, though, I'm not sure if that would be better or worse for Pandy.
