Description:
Something tells me Sophia wasn't expecting THAT kind of compression. I think she was imagining, you know, something more floppy, paper-like. Not a tiny squeezed stress ball with every part of her body constantly trying to press even tighter in itself. Quite intense.

My Thoughts:
This animation is the first in what must be over a year now where I didn't feel any pressure or stress in creating it both inside and outside the animation's context. Life sucked. It did. I'm not going into depressing detail, it was just a generally terrible time. But now it's starting to suck less. I've even got my own place now. And things are starting to return to normal! Well, that's what I'm hoping will continue to happen.
As for my thoughts on this animation, I quite like it. I don't LOVE it, but it was definitely an experimental execution. I went into it thinking "I want to do this TF" and not even knowing how I'd execute it smoothly. I really think I did! The transition looks almost natural. I really don't like the way compressed Sophia bounces, and I had a few revisions, but I just had to settle with what I had in the end. Lots of little tweaks everywhere and such.
Oh! I should mention that this "orb of compression" was inspired by some cool Twitter artists:

Especially the second one, who made their own take on it, and then I basically copied them:

After making that image, over time the idea grew on me that I want to make it an animation. You can see some heavy inspiration from strangeydangey's animation here, with how the general ball interacts. So thanks to those two cool peeps, this animation exists. It's cool to try a new type of TF, although in a way I suppose it's just another form of "Ball TF". I think the execution is a lot more interesting here though. This animation is also a big stride for me personally, as it represents my return to normality. This animation wasn't made FOR anyone, nor was it out of my own self-esteem to upload to be "involved" in the community. I just wanted to make it. Like how I used to always make animations. I want to get back into uploading weekly, which I hope to do for a while before announcing other (potentially) cool stuff that you fellas might like.
Also, I would upload a funny cool thumbnail like I usually do which represents my animations very well but those fucktards at DeviantArt headquarters decided to remove thumbnails. No clue why. Hundreds of alternate angles and unique viewpoints, gone. Part of the charm of a new animation for me was making the thumbnail. I hope this is a big misunderstanding and they're adding them back, but who in hell was abusing thumbnails to the point where they had to remove them??
Anyways, that's my general thoughts. There's SO MUCH I want to say and discuss, but I don't want this to be an essay. Maybe I'll talk more about everything leading up to this animation in a stream sometime, who knows. But until then, I hope you like an animation made out of pure passion for creating!
