Description
Last time we saw Dex, he was infiltrating a Chinese warehouse where he was simultaneously saved and threatened by a masked figure named Badger. Badger demanded to know who he was and what he was doing there.

Badger takes his hand off Dex’s mouth and Dex screams for help before quickly getting covered again by Badger’s hand.

“Are you trying to get us both killed?! It’s swarming here with fully armed Chinese mobsters!”

Dex wriggles his face out of Badger's grip. "Wait, you're not one of them?"

“Do I look like a Chinese mobster?”

“Ehmm...”

“Oh, the mask" Badger sighs. "That’s my fault...”

Dex steps away from Badger, eyeing him up and down. “So what ARE you doing here?”

“Probably the same thing you are.”

“Freeing the trafficked hostages?”

“What?! No!" Badger snorts derisively. "I'm here for the Oriental Tech Company prototype they stole!”

“You... work for the Oriental Tech Company?”

“No, but I want the prototype so I can upgrade my gear.”

Dex gasps dramatically. “You're a thief!”

Badger looks down at himself, then back up at Dex. “Was it not obvious?”

“Well, if you're a thief, then I have to stop you!”

"Stop me?" Badger scowls behind his mask. “From stealing something that THEY stole in the first place? All while freeing trafficked hostages guarded by a couple dozen armed mobsters? I don’t think you’ll make it through the night if that’s your plan...”

Dex huffs. “Fine. You do your thing, I’ll do mine.”

“No way. You get yourself caught, security goes on high alert and it gets twice as hard to steal my tech." Badger crosses his arms over his chest. "You would be captured already if it wasn’t for me just now. There's no way I'm letting you run off now and set off all the alarms.”

"If you think I can't do it alone..." Dex grins. "...why don't you help me? Then you can go steal your prototype."

"Are you insane?! I'm not helping you!"

Dex turns to leave. "Suit yourself!"

“Wh-" Badger turns to face the wall, looks as if he might punch a hole in it, and then turns back to Dex. "Fine, you got me. I’ll help. But only if you free the hostages while I steal my tech. Deal?”

“Deal!” Dex grins widely.

Badger groans. “I’m regretting this already...”
