Description
Now none of you have an excuse to not draw Sandra (although you should download it for full view~)-------
Full name: Sandra Belle Divert
Goes by: Sandra (pronounced sahn-druh)
Age: 19
Gender/Sex: Female
Species: Gray Wolf
Birthday: November 24th
Height: 5'3"/160cm (This is measured without her ears. Without her boots, she is 5'2"/157cm)
Weight: 123 lbs/56 kg
Attack Style: Firearms (uses Lock-On gun, see below)
Strong suits: Knows some close combat martial arts, fast runner, has congenital anosmia (no sense of smell), so stink bombs have no effect.
Weaknesses: Achluophobia (fear of the dark), usually challenges opponents simply because she wants to prove that she's not worthless, can't smell out toxic fumes like carbon monoxide due to her congenital anosmia, not very strong
Personality:
Sandra is an upbeat, gung-ho protagonist of the series, Streetlight . She loves to be the center of attention and is well known to be there causing a bit of chaos. When she has her eyes set on something, she does all she can to have it. Even with a large reckless side, Sandra would never put her friends or family on the side of danger, and will fight to protect. Her weapon is specially designed not to be lethal, as she doesn't want to badlyΒ hurt anyone in matches.
Overall, she can be described as a sarcastic yet loveable girl who looks a lot younger than what she is.
Weapon:
The Lock-On is a gun created by Sandra's father, Ron Divert, a well-known mechanic in Aeroglave. The gun has 100% perfect accuracy, hence its name, and uses heat-seeking charges to strike the opponent. Instead of bullets, however, the gun's design takes positive and negative charges, also known as lightning. Even though the gun seems perfect, it has a few flaws. Because of the gun's heat-seeking abilities, it can also fire at objects hotter than the average body temperature, like fire, plasma, or its electrical blasts can be redirected by metal, if the opponent knows how (otherwise, metal is more of a beacon). Opponents can also deflect the lightning, or leap behind a barrier to block it. If the Lock-On has enough power, it can create a large blast that has enough power to severely damage the opponent, and in some arenas, knock them over the edge (This blast causes some discharge to Sandra, making her hair poofy and stunned for a few seconds). The Lock-On does not have enough energy to kill, however, since Sandra wanted it designed that way. Simply enough to scare or to show her strength.
How it works-The Lock-On is designed with a hammer, trigger and trigger guard, barrel, and seven muzzles in a hexagonal shape at the end. Each muzzle has a small cap-like gel that directs the lightning. After the hammer is pulled back with the thumb, one can aim the Lock-On and fire. If your opponent does not have an attack style with weapons or powers hotter than the average body temperature, or if they have metal on them that cannot redirect lightning, then aim doesn't have to be spot on. All you have to do is shoot in the general direction.
Trivia:
-She hates it when others learn that her middle name is "Belle". It contrasts her personality, and everyone teases her about it.
-You'll never see her in a dress. Or heels. Or make up. Nope. Never.
-Buy her a milkshake and she is yours forever.
-Besides Streetlight, Sandra is hoping to receive a degree in robotics. She chooses to pursue the degree after the course of Streetlight.
-A lot of people think that she's 14 years old, due to her height and her childish personality. When people treat her as one, she usually threatens to shoot
-She's completely oblivious to her best friend's feelings towards her. Sandra andΒ Oc have been neighbors and childhood friends for years.
-Sandra can't figure out why Oc and Winston don't get along...

It's been well over a year since my last ref for Sandra. I'd say... improvement.
All belong to Divert-S
2/8/15: made some serious updates to shape the reference into more of my current style
3/15/15: turns out there was a typo in the ref wHOOPS

Nicely done... but..... pffft. I can't smell either. This coincedence amuses me greatly.

Calling this ref an improvement is a very good way to say it;loving how the layout really helps differentiate it and make it look sleek and I think it's fairly obvious I think her design is vibrant and spunky so seeing you refine her awesomely cartoony/anthro-ish portrayal is quite nice seeing as it permits you the serious story points and the silly shenanigans (Which would otherwise end in rather more unpleasant ways)of both.
Loving the action pose of her firing the locked-on especially;somebody's got some attitude and style in matches.Just how much does Sandra go for style over functionality in matches or is there any other character with that mindset if I might ask?

Thank you! :'D
uhm hmm that's an interesting question. Overall, I'd say Sandra would go for, not necessarily functionality, but whatever tactic can seal her win the fastest. Usually that involves a little bit of a chaotic electrical mess. The only character of mine who would choose style over functionality would probably be Winston, since his fighting style (the two whips) involve swift, almost graceful movements.Β

I bet Sandra throws in a bit of attitude and snazz with her practicality mindset in matches and as for Winston I imagine he'll be getting some very nice action poses in good time.
