Description I needed an excuse to draw these two again. They're out dancing at some formal party and this happens... And some reporter takes a snap. How they'd react to seeing that in the papers is... well, you guys decide. hehehehehehe

Of course, you're so welcome! You know, in a way, I can somewhat understand that people want kids to know and understand that there are gay people in the world, and Hollywood wants to show that in cartoons. Some kids can understand that, I've seen it. But it's just the way they did this and just completely threw away what Korra and Mako had, just for the sake of "political correctness". I certainly would have dealt with it better. But I'm glad that people understood the true reason why Mike and Bryan did this, I'm glad that the support for Mako and Korra is just as big or even bigger in some cases. Yes, there will be more of the Korrasami shippers, but we all know that it's for the "followers"...they want to follow this fandom because they think it's cool and they don't want anyone to think they are "intolerant". It's about how they will be seen. I'm pretty sure many of those shipper started out as Makorra supporters. So yes, please keep this up and do more. Please.

I know what you mean. Had they not trashed what these two had at the last minute, my reaction to korrasami would've been different. Representation IS important. I will not deny it, but I cannot deny that when it's done poorly, and at the cost of the core traits of the people involved in this 'progressive' ship, it backfires and reflects poorly on the creators and the story. If the circumstances make previous characterizations seem like something the creators had to apologize for, they should realize they've messed up. I wish it had been done better, or given more importance, but it wasn't. I wish some of the rabid shippers hadn't resorted to calling us slurs just because we didn't agree with them. I wish I could've seen the development, but it was non existent. I wish I didn't feel like Korra wouldn't be happy with Asami because they both want such different things from their lives. I really, really wish I hadn't seen many of the people who HATED Korra in Book 1 got what they wanted and saw her humbled and bruised just like they wanted so she could hate herself enough to settle. I wish I didn't see it that way, but that's how it felt. To all those people out there in the LGBTQ community, seeing bisexual characters means something. And I will always appreciate that. Finding her way back to Mako wouldn't make Korra any less bisexual. She always has been, and always will be. Who she chooses to be with in my headcanon will not change that. My support for Mako and Korra's relationship has always been because of how much they affected each other. Sometimes for the better, but sometimes for the worse, too. But love each other they did. And at the end of the day, that's what I want to see for both of them.

Yes, exactly. Representation is important...not just for gays, but for Black Americans, Asians, Hispanics, everything that makes up America and other countries. But what's important is the REASON behind doing it. People are coming to realize why Mike and Bryan did this, and it's not just for representation. Ratings for Legend Of Korra were dropping very badly, people were complaining and it was about to be cancelled. From what I understand, it was only supposed to be just one season, but the executives at Nickelodeon forced Mike and Bryan to do more seasons, but by the end of the first season, they had run out of ideas. A fan made a joke about Asami and Korra getting together, and that snowballed and Bryke took it seriously. Since the ending of the show, people are still arguing about it and they were insulted when Mike stated on his Tumblr page that if we didn't see any of the hints and didn't accept "Korrasami", then we were seeing the show through "hetero-lens". Really? Personally, if they wanted to portray a gay scene in the show, then they should have come up with a gay character and built up his or her journey in developing a same-sex relationship and let parents decide if they wanted their kids to see it or not, not slap us in the face like they did with the final few seconds to get publicity. I'm sorry, but I still believe in and support Mako and Korra, but that doesn't make me or others who feel as I do "homophobes". That's what totally destroyed my respect for the creators and Korrasami shippers. So because someone doesn't dance in the streets and bang drums for homosexuality, they're homophobes? Give me a break. To me, in my head, Korra slowly makes her way back to Mako when the excitement of the Spirit World wears off, all with Asami's blessing. We can only hope it happens.

I agree. I think it was Bryan who made the hetero lens comment. But that's not the point. The point is, they had to justify it after the show was over. Like they actually had to make long winded comments about why they had to do it. If it had been well done, it wouldn't have required an explanation. Plus, blaming fans for their own shortcomings when it came to how they wrote it was a bad move. There were many better ways to showcase a same sex couple. But they didn't do that. Instead they shoved this in at the last minute and had an eleven year old girl crush on a boy in B3 because hey, everyone else is straight. Whose hetero-normativity was that? Ours or theirs? I have nothing against Jinora and Kai. Really, they're a sweet pairing. But come on. Anyway, like you said, in my head, Mako and Korra get back together after a while. And Asami will also find her own source of happiness with someone else or on her own.

Ahhh, yes, Bryan. It's been so long since I paid attention to that mess, I forgot who actually said that. Exactly, one of the reasons the fandom is basically abandoned now is because people were truly insulted by that statement, it did sound like they blamed the fans. Not good. True, when I was 11, I didn't even like boys to touch me much less have crushes on them. Boys were like an alien species. I changed my mind about boys when I was about 14 or 15. I stopped watching the show after Book I, but yeah, Jinora and Kai were adorable. There are many, many documents of people trying same-sex relationships, but ending up with the opposite sex, many documents of bisexuals marrying the opposite sex. Who says it can't happen with Korra? Anything can happy. One day, I hope the rights to the series gets passed on to new hands and Mako and Korra get an ending they deserve. Who knows?

Many people are hoping so. Then again, many are obsessed with fantasy, idealistic Hollywood version of lesbianism through Korrasami. It's kind of sad though, but what can we do?

Well if that's the case then they're participating in the erasure of a part of their community, if they themselves are part of it. The way it stands I'm indifferent to the ship. I'll leave them be and keep my headcanons the way I want to. They can't stop me from loving what these two dorks have. XD

You may have a point. I'm starting to believe that in many cases, fanon is MUCH better than canon. And this situation perfectly shows it.

Korrasami is a nice new change to a children's cartoon, but there is nothing to be ashamed of still like Makorra. Nice work.

Thank you for this comment. I won't even deny canon, nor will I say it shouldn't have happened. These two are just endgame for me. That's all. Thanks again!
