we're believing the bond they shared through out the narrative. I've always felt that their love is just the kind to find itself again when the time comes. But it will, eventually. Β

Yeah, I always tell people that in a future comic or special, about a year or so later, Korra and Asami's relationship slowly fade back into friendship....a sisterhood after the excitement of the Spirit World wanes. Korra is surprised to find that she still thinks about and has feelings for Mako, and with Asami's blessings, goes and seeks out Mako. He might have a girlfriend by then, but he also still thinks about Korra. They meet, and they shyly and slowly rekindle their relationship. I can really see that happening, and many people are writing fanfiction based on that.

That's what I'd like to imagine! Just because it ended with a certain relationship doesn't mean it would last forever. Can you link me to some fan fiction based on that premise?

Well, there's a very, very popular Makorra fanfic on Tumblr called Noodles And Company. It's very well received and I'm sure you'll like it. You can read it here:

You can also note the author and ask for any more Makorra fanfic. She would know, I'm not into the Avatar universe anymore. And I agree...as I tell everyone else, anything can happen, even Mako and Korra growing up and finding each other again.
