I give up. This started as a drawing for fun... I really needed to do something in pencil, and I needed to do something for myself, and I wanted to draw Link so I went with that. But after two days and way too many hours I just give up.I really liked it at some point I can barely recall now and I still like parts. But I've redrawn his arm at least 9 times (completely finished 4) and his head is too big for my norm and just GRRR. Frikkin art. I mean, it's not like he's hard enough to draw without just plain stupid complications. Link's supposed to be raw muscle with near-zero body fat which is a hard thing to draw let alone make aesthetically pleasing. Bah, oh well. It was just for myself so it's not like it has to be perfect, I'm just pissy I wasted two days.
Heh, and now it's technically Link's birthday, too (though I don't age my characters). Happy birthday, Link, you get a half-good picture. Yay.
At least his face looks right. *kicks stuff* Too much work to not post, though >_<

I definitely hear ya, about making a male with 0% body fat looking good. That's how my main character Naix is, so i'm stuck with sharing pictures of his face really right now. You did very awesome, don't worry about it.

You know what really amazes me? (Besides Link's to-die-for hip lines? OH GOD *latch, drool*) The TERRIFIC way you render scars. You have the subtle shading to them that makes them look slightly more raised than the rest of the surrounding skin, as most scars appear in real life. I don't know why that aspect really jumped out at me but it did. lol It's true! Chicks dig scars! At least this one does.

I've always been amazed by how well you knowanatomy and how you apply it to your drawings. I love the pants and the level of detail that you put in them (and the whole thing). The whole drawing just exudes personality

I agree with Angie, personally I think it looks awesome. I know you've been looking at it for a long time and you're probably frustrated and starting to nitpick about things because you've looked at it that long, but honestly I think it's great. I don't know anyone who pulls off that ripped, no body fat look either other than you. Link is too attractive for his own good I say. His face looks strikingly beautiful, it always does, but I think this piece draws your attention right to his face. I love how you posed that arm up on the sign as well, and of course if I could do hands like you do, I wouldn't have a whole lot of reason to bitch when I draw lol.
