Description
A few years after Lily's death. It was her birthday on the 30th January. Severus has written a letter and visits her grave some days later to avoid meeting anyone he knows.Re-watching "Truly Madly Deeply" a few months ago it hit me how much the poem recited near the end by "Jamie" (incidentally played by Alan Rickman) to "Nina" (Juliet Stevenson) fits the Severus/Lily situation. Last time I saw the film was clearly before HP book 7 was out. Now it did give me ideas for a fanart which led to a terrific collaboration with the amazing and inimitable
, who is a wonderful Severus.
We both dedicate "The Letter" to , who are an endless inspiration to us.

The photos, smdownunder, who plays Severus, sent me to work from - they are not posted anywhere as they are raw, unedited material. I put all the backgrounds in and added all writing, props, lighting effects and moods etc. for the finished product.

I know what you mean about the dead coming back if you miss them enough ... That scene where AR (as Jamie) suddenly appears and Nina (Juliet Stevenson) reacts to seeing him is just SO moving
I was lucky enough to get to see AR in a play in Dublin a few years ago - and, sitting right in front of me was Juliet Stevenson; that was quite a strange experience I can tell you!
