He looks so different when he pulls his fringe back xD I love drawing this guys hair so much aaaaaaaaaah I think his arm is too short though. Ah well.
Edit: I fixed the arm a bit, it still looks a bit off but its much better now
Merms. I love drawing them so very much they are always so much fun to do and very relaxing uwu but yessss you guys seem to like him a lot and asked for more of him so here you goooo~ My next goal is to start drawing with more context in the pieces rather than characters on their own doing nothing in particular ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ok, since you're like a pro in mer peeps, I have 2 questions,
1.) How do Mer peeps communicate?
2.) They have gills right?

Good questions! In my world:
Mers communicate with a series of melodic humming-like noises they can produce with their vocal cords, a little bit like clicks and similar things dolphins and whales do. Since you can hum without having to use your mouth, mers can also speak their language without having to open their mouths.
It's very different from human speech, and since mers don't have to use their lips or tongues to pronounce words like we do, learning a human language literally means having to learn a new way of speaking. So there is such a thing as mers who can understand a human language but cannot speak it.
And yes, they have gills on either side of their necks. Though they vary in length and number from person to person :3 This guy here has two gills on either side, whereas Arlan only has one.
And they're very sensitive!

btw - chains in life are virtually everywhere I thought about it too when I think of my id - tags always on the belt like all or many workslaves these days everywhere: meantime i even wear identity chain on wrist with name etc. on it looks and feels quite cool and you may even end up with a dogtag locked round your neck i e army etc except that u get used to it all - which I suppose is better for me ! many feel enslaved on a daily basis

In a way... Like in the eyes, his hair and the expression, he kind of reminds me of Chase Young from Xiaolin Showdown. He kinda has that bad boy vibe like that... And omg. He's so well drawn. ^_^
