The SPR is nice, but I'll take the Bushmaster ACR (formerly Magpul MASADA) as the perfect modular assault rifle, capable of nigh anything.

I'll take one of my old weapons first. A Barrett M90 or M95. nothing beats the stopping power or armor piercing of a goo old fashoned .50 cal. But this is a nice modification of an M16.

It's a Special Purpose Rifle (SPR), modded from a M16 for counter-sniping use.

stock looks like the wrong design for an M-4, but I could be wrong.

Not quite.
M4 has an M16A2 body, with a collapsible stock and full auto, shortened front end, etc. The M4A1 has a flat top reciever and the internals were slightly improved.
BAck in the 'nam the shortened M16 you're thinking of is the Car-15 otherwise known as the XM177 when it was in the experimental stages. It sported an A1 body and was exactly the same as the M16A1 except shortened. I have yet to see any documentation (photos, etc) of a full stocked Car-15 in the 'nam.
I hope you enjoyed this brief lesson, even though my reply is half a year late

First of all the ONE I am thinking of that is shorter than the normal m-16 (which was a favorite of Special Forces operators) AND IT was the shortened AR-15, yes the same one sold to the public. it was favored because of its light weight and ease of use in close quarters combat...... the stock style (of the picture) was similar to what I thought was the m-16 but if you say Iβm wrong ...then sure go for it why not.....I wrong......but here is a link to your car-15 in full stock in namβ.....ass.....

I know you really get off on trying to know more than everyone else and showing it when ever possible .....most people would consider that rude arrogant and much like that of a grand master cock stopper
I hope you enjoyed this brief lesson of guns and etiquette

You said "That's how stock used to be, in the 'Nam" if you want to get even MORE technical, the stock on the M16 and the M16A1 was shorter than the stocks today, the one in the picture. Even though there were three types of stocks for M16 varients in those times, you failed to note that.
Sarcasm isn't in your vocabulary is it? I joke around and you answer with hostility, nice touch bud. First of all you know nothing about me, and I was correcting you, not showing how much I knew on the subject. So get off your high, hypocritical horse. Did you ever stop to think that some of my post was directed to the guy above you aswell?
I hope you enjoyed this brief lesson, maybe next time you won't be so ignorant when replying to someone who was just trying to help out.
