Description
A flintlock gun axe I'm working on, I've already uv mapped him and retopologised but waiting to finish the sculpts , then will add them to the small cage via normal maps.I know it's a seriously unpractical weapon but used a reference photo of a real german flintlock gun axe for the shape and proportions.
Link to the reference file : [link]
Any suggestions would be wonderful and greatly appreciated.
EDIT: The final low poly WEAPON can be found here: [link]
and some WIP shots with high rez can be found here: [link]

Very well done. I love the weathering on the blade and pommel/butt.

wish i knew how to get stuff from zbrush to max and vice versa!, looking good, brittle perhaps, also i was wondering if someone used one hand to hold the end and then the other hand near the trigger would that work (in terms of use)?!

tbh I think that it was used as a chopping device 99.99% of the time, that flint thing might have been used to maybe execute someone dying on the floor in a more humane way rather than chopping him to bits. Smth like point blank shot ?
AS for object swapping, just export/import as a OBJ file, it's that easy. Be sure to check normals to face outside correctly
