Description
Guys, I was sketching this hero (my previous character in "Avatar" and "Alone") and i'm in doubt on the pose...I'd like to have some replies on which you prefer (and if you've time, why) to go on finish:
1) on left
2) on right
3) none, it's terrible
I've another doubt that come out when I've seen it at this point, seem like the character of Darkness or it's just my opinion?

I see more left then right or a mix of the dx background (brighter) on left pose...

Left. The sword in back (less braggy, less boastful, less of a show of penis size) and the hand in front (more personality, more story) make the picture rich in meaning and more intriguing.

The left one is more balanced and the character works better with the background. I would let that arm hang beside him 'tho, the silhouette will read better.

Left one is much better. The pose is weird and not as epic as the left one. Still very good job on both of them!

i'd say combine them with most of the image taken from the left pose... and then take the face, hood, and hair from the right.

j/k. Left has a cooler pose, but perhaps the background could be slightly brighter โ the values in Right draw my attention more.

Leeeft!! Maybe add more light tones on the background near his head. With the dark hood it would create great contrast leading the eye to his face.

I choose option #1. The left pose feels a lot more empowered. It's like the character is inviting you to test his ability. There's a real nice and clear line of force from the tip of his sword, all the way up to his shoulder blade. Additional, the background has some really nice sharp vertical elements that pull the eye down to the character, then back up to the bird/crow/vultures. I also really like the implied ornate details around the waist / leg area. Best of luck!

1) There's more details, and I like one of his hands is free. However, the background light gradient on the right one is also good, maybe you should consider adding it to the left one.

They're great, but I prefer the left one when it comes to the pose, since I think feels more natural ... the right one looks sort of stiff. They would both have worked though : )

left one. pose is more suggestive of some deep emotion. I agree with , that arch in the bg makes some decent impression. maybe combine it with the birdy birds ? they could sit on it or something :3
