Description This is a dorsal shot of the cephalic region of the larva of the Gaudy Sphinx moth, Eumorpha labruscae (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae). It's a fantastic snake mimic, not only in appearance but also in behavior; when threatened, it moves its body from side to side, like a disturbed snake.
