Description Here's the fourth one! I made some fins out of MDF and glued them on with white Gorilla Glue. This one took me a little longer than usual, naturally.

Well'p..enjoy!!

EDIT: this pin suffered some serious damage btw...so it's out of rotation as far as selling or what have you. (two of the fins broke off)

Very cool! What do you do with all this stuff when it's done? Keep it, auction it off?

They'll eventually be sold at some point. But after they make their rounds through some local galleries and bowling alleys.

May I be the first to say "That's out of this world!"?

I may?

That's out of this world!

Oh that's hilarious sir! - Very clever indeed - that must;ve been quite a pain to get those curves right on the fins?

To some degree, yes they were. I had to trace out the out line a couple of times. I now have a stencil for the pin curvature for future use. Now once the Gorilla Glue set, it got easier. But I did have to mount each fin one at a time and tape each one down. Took my about 3 hours. remember too, Gorilla Glue hardens like fiberglass epoxy..just don't get it on your skin. I then filled in the gaps with simple wall spackle, let dry, and sand/steel wool to smoothen out.

I plan to make a missle/V-2 pin with an old WWII German camo scheme sans the whole Nazi SS stuff..cuz I don't do that. But a hot chick in a uniform like thing would be cool.

Try one of those flexible french curves next time.

I have one actually. What I want to get is one of those carpenter thingies with the little pins that you can make outlines of certain mouldings, etc. I forget what they're called, but every time I see one in a specialty mom and pop hardware store, I never buy it...so I never see those things any place else.

Profile copy gauge. You can get them from woodcraft, or probably cheaper at an Ace.
