I still don't approve of this relationship. I know it's canonical, but something as vain as hands touching doesn't equate to finding who you love in an instant. I think that little line that Flash says in "Everybody Hates Flash Sentry" seems to spell it all out quite well.

Actually, I've seen some ships that have much more depth than this deftless pairing. It's like we get a Strong Female Character matched with Edward Cullen in this instance. The depth of the relationship is as deep as a paper thin coaster split in 500 different pieces vertically.

If it's from Fallout: Equestria's little world, it's an original, or fan-made character. That's what an OC is.
There was no "love at first sight" between Twilight and Flash. It was just a small, cute crush that was certainly growing, but was not full blown romantic love yet by any stretch.

Also, even taking that into account, it's still more believable, albeit sickening that that little golden fuck has her.

First of all, people can write whatever stupid thing they want in fanfiction, so I couldn't possibly care less if you find it so "believable" by comparison. The two hardly even qualify as an apples-to-oranges comparison, let alone something really meaningful. Secondly, your position doesn't even make sense. You're arguing that there's something hard to swallow about two kids liking each other? Give me a break.

I read an excellent AJ/Twi fic once. Though that was in large part due to spot-on characterization ("A Delicate Balance" on FiMfiction).

But many of the same things that some people use to complain about Twilight's potential relationship with Flash are even worse in that example. The two you just mentioned share barely anything in terms of personality or walks of life. Of course, that argument doesn't tread water forever. "Opposites attract" sometimes, although I can't really envision that being the case between Applejack and Twilight.

Indifference is a perspective I can understand. I just don't know how so many people can react so violently toward a character of whom we know only that he seems like a decent guy, and who entertained some interest in Twilight. Honestly, people need to settle down about that.

I've read through all the other comments looking for an explanation, but I'm still not sure why she hit Flash. Β She's obviously distracted by Flash Sentry, and He's is all she can think about, but why she hit him is still confusing.Β Β I understand that we're all supposed to hate Flash, and that's fine. Β But I'm not sure if the joke is having Twilight hurt Flash just for the sake of hurting him, or if I'm missing something else.

I think Twilight's thought process is going like this: By the time Twilight is a full princess ruling Equestria, Flash Sentry will become a strong and handsome stallion who will seduce and distract Twilight from more important princessly duties with his masculine wiles and bulging... muscles.
