I use SketchUp for modeling and Photoshop for painting.

It looks like the sensor array is recessed into a deep bay in the front of the fighter. Wouldn't that limit the available arc of sensor coverage?
Aside from that, it's an impressive concept.

Loving your progress, very interesting details and shape of ship, if this is number 2 model your skills are going to be super in the near future, keep using photoshop as it seems to be the best way to get excellent details on completed Sketchup models, then you can teach me loll

Love the way you've laid out the various views and so on - that's something I've been looking for inspiration on, as I'm designing a vehicle atm too - very nicely done! Cool, very functional design too. You've handled the little itty-bitty ship details very well.
I too, am designing mine on Sketchup as I'm a bit uncomfortable with perspective atm, plus I adore Sketchup. It's probably my strongest point...really need to get better at actual painting haha. Thanks very much for this piece, some much-needed pointers on how I might tackle my painting!
