Description
I've been hinting about it, and it's almost here! Starting next month, 2D Artist Magazine will be running the first of three tutorial articles by yours truly, all on the topic of creating comic book cover art with a 'sexy girl' theme.Issue 63 (March): Comic Book Penciling Tutorial
Issue 64 (April): Comic Book Inking Tutorial
Issue 65 (May): Digital Coloring Tutorial
Individual issues (delivered online in highres .pdf format) are a bargain at around $4, and you'll get a full issue's worth of content with each issue above and beyond my articles. Awesome magazine, and I'm delighted to be partnering with them.
I'll post again when the first tutorial goes live, but in the meantime, check them out here: www.2dartistmag.com

It was a honor to be asked, and hopefully readers will learn a tip or two. Sorry we'll miss you at CC, but then again, I don't have any confirmed plans myself quite yet, so we'll see if I can even get there.

I enjoyed the first article.
I seem to forget to keep it simple in the face of my females and you are right it really ages them.
Very good point.

Awesome, man--thanks! Yeah, I got that pointer from Adam Hughes, and it's really true. On women, less is really more.

I'll likely be getting these three issues and sharing the information with the Art teacher at my high school and some of his students that are interested in getting work in the comics industry.
A couple of those students are CoH players as well as artists.

Awesome, man. Thanks. It's really affordable, and I packed them full of specific techniques and tools--all the things no one ever told me how to do.

The magazine's exlusively online, and that makes it way, WAY cheaper than a print equivalent. It's $4 vs. $12, essentially.

Maybe cheapier but not as accessible. Would love to have it but I don't have room on my computer for it and if I want to take with me I would have to print it out, which would in turn cost me ink. So, in the end I would end paying almost $12 for it anyways.
If you guys are ever interested in doing hard copies, I know a printer, that our studio uses, that does stuff pretty cheap and have a nice quality.
Good luck with the product.
