Description
So if you don't recognise this lady, shame on you! She is none other then the beautiful, powerful and sassy Meg from disney's hercules. Now she will have eyes, I just haven't painted them on yet what with being in college and the like.
The progress bit of the title refers to the fact that I made the whole piece from scratch. Not just meg herself, no. I recently bought some chain in different colours. I wanted to try out making pieces in their entirety instead of just putting everything on the black chords. That is sufficient for a lot of my jewellery and charms but not for more special pieces that require lots of time and effort. So she is on the chain and does not come off. The two sparkling pices with the little silver leaves I think they are, or flowers were removed from another piece of jewllery my mother bought but never wore. So I measured the chain, Opened the links at the right number on either side of where meg sits, and closed them again once the embellishments were added, attached the clasp in the same manner and a silver medium jump ring as the receiver for the clasp. I'm really happy with it and all the possibilities it opens. I can now make pieces that are truly professional and special.

That's an awesome piece. Love the details. Unique way to capture her personality and confidence.

I like her without the fine details. Gives her a mysterious edge but you still know she's a force to be reckon with!

Yeah. All that sass. I think she keeps it stored in her magical hair...

I just found your shop on Etsy, but it says it's on break. How much do you sell pendants like this for? And what are the possibilities of getting this without eyes?

Yes, if you check out my recent journals you will see why. I've just started college and don't have my supplies ir pieces with me atm. The pendant would start at about 20€ and then increase with difficulty. This meg would cost closer to 30€ because of the chain work. I'm going home this evening so if you are interested please let me know asap and I could draft up an etsy tonight for you.

Thanks for replying. I would go mad without my supplies! What if just for the pendant though? (I have a super small neck, so I tend to make my own necklaces)

Yeah I've been busy settling in and sorting myself out so I haven't had much time to worry about crafting. Well unfortunately I won't be removing this meg from the chain. I had never planned too and I wish to sell it the way it is. I could however make you something very similar when I reopen. I have a very hectic weekend and on Monday start my lectures. I'm going to be bringing most my jewellry back to my accommodation in Galway and so will be able to send them from there. Once I am re-opening I will let you know and if you are still interested I will gladly discuss a commission with you. I should be back up and running in the next few weeks.
