i won't be seeing the new movie until i go home for thanksgiving, but all of the giddy harry potter sentiments floating around the internet are making me so happy and nostalgic!i like it old school when they're all happy and innocent and running around hogwarts

This is so sweet! The style itself is very nostalgic. It reminds me of illustrations in storybooks I read as a kid. It just kind of throws me back into the magic.

I wish I could think something else to say, because this is truly such a wonderful piece. I rarely leave any feedback (mostly I just lurk) but for this I felt I had to. This reminds me of my childhood growing up with Harry, and in my opinion, there really isn't that many things better than that.

Oh wow, I'm not as into Harry Potter as I used to be, but this totally excites my inner HARDCORE FAN. I can't even explain all the ways I love this.

My favourite book is also the third. Because of Lupin and for being such a good mixture of sirius serious events and cuteness.

haha i actually never liked the 3rd book very much, i am the one lone sacrilegious HP fan who's not crazy about the marauders and i kind of see the 3rd book as the "descent into dark times" maybe because the movie is very dark? the 4th book is darker still but thats the one with the strongest memories associated with it for me so its my fav

yeah, its a really calm book compared to ... basically all of them, imo? i remember being disappointed that its the only book with no FINAL SHOWDOWN W/ VOLDEMORT. haha i like the fourth book because its ALL OVER THE PLACE, SO MUCH HAPPENS

I like the 4th one too, the fake Moody broke my brain.<3 Just the focus on the relationships between some people where a bit over the top. I´m not a huge fan of that christmas prom. ´though Ron´s jealousy was adorable.
Aaah, I need to reread all of them. I hope nobody spoils me about the 7th film or pressures me to watch it, knowing that I most certainly ignore it at its opening night in Germany. I´m just someone who´s often behind in such things when there´s a lot of fuss.

Dumbledore dying was just so...surreal. I had the feeling he´s not going to last since the first book, and yet when it happened I was like "no, Rowling, you just did not do that to him. And you did not just take Harry´s last advisor away. It´s effing !deus-ex-machinaDumbledore for hell´s sake, he can not-" ...
That scene when his fall from the tower was described in detail...my god.
But what a relief when I read that his picture was still in the headmaster´s room.

oh man ugh i just remember HOW EXCITING it was after the fourth book came out. everyone had all these crazy-ass theories, the movies were just starting to come out, sometimes when i think of harry potter i only think of that year and how disgustingly excited i was about EVERYTHING. i had like five million theories for the fifth book and they all included talking dogs because i was 8

It really saddens me that my younger sister's generation [she's 'bout twelve now] will never know such a thing as POTTER MANIA. God it was so great when both the books and movies were coming out at once, like you said. My sister will never know the glory of a midnight book release. :'[ Those parties. Man.
