Description Portals of Pamela:
Pamela & The Minotaur – Page 01

Poor Pamela…
Dropped through the Portals of Time and Space and left as a sacrifice to the vile beast, the Minotaur in his Labyrinthine lair. For a moment - just before the beast’s chains can snap letting the giant creature get her at last - Pamela thinks she has been saved... A god appears! But LO! it is Ares, and he likes the sport he has found. Instead of releasing the ravishing Pamela, he rips free some of her already tattered clothing and gives it to the Minotaur as a token... and as a tracking scent! What fate will befall Pamela next..?!

terrifying, but very erotic.
It touches those nerves that exist somewhere between terror and submission, sheer agony and ecstacy, disgust and fascination.

I see the minotaur as a subconscious essence of indomitable masculine lust and physicality. Its frightening to us-yet we are biologically wired to have this sort of helpless feeling to the Alpha Male as well. Its terrifying, nasty, disgusting, threatening, dangerous--why is it that when I run away I seem to run in slow motion? Why is it when I shriek and struggle my body subconsciously does it in a way that makes me even more magnetic to the monster's rut?

A wonderful series.  I have to suspect that for the sake of decorum, you have left some things unstated, some things only hinted at, and some things left to the imagination.  Most excellent!  (The essence of art is subtlety.)

For example. I think I have figured out the whip in Ares' hand.  A whip is not really a weapon of warfare.  At least, not usually.  So why does Ares have a whip?  (I doubt that it is intended for the management of the Minotaur. )

Well, even the God of War is at heart, a traditionalist.  And the traditional way to enrage a bull (or a Minotaur too -- part bull after all!) is to wave red in front of him.

Which "waving" of the red will be conveniently provided by Pam.  After her lovely rump has been reddened and brought to a blush by application of the whip, it remains only for her to display it to Mr. Minotaur.  This might be inadvertant on her part, but thanks to the shortness of her skirt, Minotaur will doubtless get a maddening glimpse now and then of her delightful red buttocks.

You have nice crisp and lcear lines, and the anatomy on the woman is very good. A bit more contrast could be a good idea, but this is very good.

I agree... I could always use more contrast, but I get scared of blacking things out. Still, this turned out OK, given that this was a relative 'quickie'.
THANKS!

Whatever happens, it can't be good. Great scene. Quite terrifying. I'm curious what happens next! This is nicely drawn and composed as well. She's got a great pose going on, maybe trying to entice Ares? Apparently it's not working.

DocRedfield In reply to Dyun [2006-11-21 07:32:57 +0000 UTC]

S'good point... perhaps she IS trying to entice Ares... Its within her character. Think of a time-traveling Emanuelle, with more bondage. In any case, Ares is more interested in watching the scene unfold before he gets any more involved with the sacrifice...
Thanks for the comments... I hope I get to more of this series sooner rather than later (the year's end fast approaches!).

I love Pamela's pose, it's very alluring. And the minotaur is excellent. Great job

Thanks, and thanks for the Fave. I was just telling Dyun that I do NOW think Pamela's trying to seduce Ares to get out of the jam, (but to no avail), so its interesting now to realize the pose I chose to place her in and how it is percieved...

Okay, I love the absolutely malicious eyes of the minotaur--wonderful detail for this one. I love her figure, too, and the way you've got her posed is both alluring and yet innocent and vulnerable. Ares makes a nice bridge between the two of them, one that will be nice to see gone, as it will create (I think and hope) a delicious dichotomy from "gift" to "gifted." I also like how you've placed to darkened entrances on either side of the background. This is a cool one, and I'm definitely looking forward to more. And, thanks for the plug in the comments!

The plug was wholly justified. Thanks for the comments... I'm fairly proud of the depth, myself, given how fast I plunked this out. Girl's the best part, but I do love the Minotaur's face...
Thanks again.

Okay, I'm feeling a bit better (thanks) and I've left a comment on the art alone. I just read your words in the Artist Comments and I think this has a LOT of potential as a picture story! Letting the minotaur catch her scent is a nice little detail that sets up a chase-sequence I have yet to do (I'm actually working on one for "Fair Harvest" and the next chapter, but it'll be really nice to see you do one here). The labyrinth should be a really fun place to draw such a sequence as well. I love how she's clothed, too--she may as well not be... This is really cool, and I'm glad that my works have inspired something like it.
