Description
had slight editing prob here so new versionIce Melts
Up north
where igloos glow
or far south as you can go
far below the Horn
the ice melts
it leaves the rivers
pouring down into the valleys below
heaven's in hot water
this time around
the curling breeze
whips the wind through the sails
of forgotten Spanish ships
blowing like an old tattered flag
on a pole at some forgotten Post Office
the land lays still
trailing the tears remembered
what was
what could be
who will know
we walk into the train station
pass a sweet Southern girl
sitting on a ledge near the fire
that started long ago,
she eats an ice cream cone
feet dangling free
she smiles
and says she has been waiting
waiting for us for so long
