the procession continuesit seemed the sun
rose three times today
saints and poets
a lost view of Athens
Pompeii and Troy,
the procession continues
around the bend
in the road twice
running swiftly with intent,
as the men jumped on board
bracing for the inevitable
clinging to the aisle
manning the machines
on the Sea of Cortez
