I can smell the future
throug the London fog

twenty five minute loops
of thin blue strands,
unreasonable questions
of blather and quips

the best excuse
you can ever have,
'there's plenty of time
to do all that.'

the sign stated,
'wait at the gate for security'
the man behind the counter said,
"don't worry about that,
they're on break,
and it doesn't matter anyway
don't you know,
homeland security is a scam."

I'd walk a hundred miles
to be alone or say goodnight
