Description
After leaving Emerald's room, I went to see Pearl. She wasn't in the castle (she rarely is), but I knew where to find her. Pearl has a grotto behind the castle, where she keeps anything she finds from shipwrecks. She reminds me of Ariel, though Pearl has a much larger collection. I entered her grotto, finding Pearl place a treasure chest in the sand. She struggled to open it, but to no avail.

"Looks like you could use a hand," I said.

Pearl turned to face me and squealed. Pearl has the highest voice of the Birthstone Mermaids, which sounds deafening when echoing in the grotto. She swam up to me and hugged me. "It's so good to see you again!" she said excitedly. "Could you help me open this?"

"No problem!"

I grabbed one of her treasures, a sword, and struck the locks. They broke with one attack, allowing Pearl to claim its contents. Inside the treasure chest was a winged merman statue. When she held it up, I took her picture. I began drawing her as she placed more of her treasures on the shelves. I showed this to her when I was finished. I was given one of her scales and a kiss. If the world truly is an oyster, I've just met the pearl! (shameless H2O plug)
