This guy's appearance really caught me off guard in the comic! I just read through from the beginning and until he shows up, I didn't actually realize this took place in a fantasy setting. Will his non-deeryness/breed be explained in the comic, or is he just meant to be an enigma?

As the story goes progresses, it'll get more apparent that the setting doesn't follow our realism at all. Cut's origins will be explored as well!

I wonder if he's got some water-deer-ancestor blood in him, given the teeth? Musk-deer-ancestor blood? That was the first thing I thought of when I saw those canines. x3
I mean, even white-tailed deer will eat a bird or other critter occasionally, even if their systems aren't optimized for it... Not too great of a stretch that fantasy deer might eat more meat.
