If I had some bread I'd make a sandwich... if I had a witchI can't believe I've only just heard of Xoc's awesome Super Mario Bros. 3 album!
After hearing the Desert sample on his site [link] , two things came to mind. This scene (which is connected to my other Mario Animation ) as well as Popeye crossing the desert in "Popeye the Sailor Meets Ali Baba's Forty Thieves".
So... on my final note, I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for Xoc Plays III today.

Just download the sample from "WORLD 2 MAP: DESERT HILL", then play it in Winamp/Windows Media Player or whatever MP3 player you use.

QUESTION:
you drew everything luigi
frame by frame correct?
is every part of luigi on the same layer? or how many layers did you use?
and is it to much to ask for the .fla file so i can study it?, ive taken an interest in full body cartoon animation instead of animating sticks.

In the final, luigi is all on one layer. But I started by only animating the legs (for the timing), in rough. After that I moved on to the arms, finally the head sway any extras (back, hair and hat). With all that done, inking it was easy.
Here are some of the 'tricks';
- Break down every element (legs/mouth/hand). You don't need to draw every detail to begin with.
- Work out the extremes (when a foot strikes the floor and again when it lifts up), from that you can get the timing and place frames as needed.
Also, acting stuff out helps (yes, I walked around like this).
I'm gonna be blunt, I'm not gonna give you my originals (not that I stop you screen printing though). Sorry, just a personal rule.
