More likely the knuckles to Ruby's gauntlet. I think that their love is so strong they don't need to summon their weapons separately.

Ruby's glove has no individual fingers. Garnet's gauntlets do. Where, then, do the fingers come from? That is what I meant by Sapphire having the knuckles.

What I meant is that Bismuth's upgrade for Garnet's weapon was what is essentially a set of brass knuckles. If that was Sapphire's weapon to begin with, then the upgrade wouldn't make any sense and would just be redundant.

Bigger brass knuckles on top of smaller ones might make them stronger, I don't know.

To me, it seems like adding flamethrowers to a fire-breathing creature. Strictly speaking, it would make the thing more powerful, but anyone who would be likely to make it would be more likely to focus their efforts on something less redundant.
