Description
"I never asked to be a company leader. I was content with leading my small squad of elites who were more than capable of taking care of themselves with or without me. I wanted to deck Hawke through that determined and trustful stare he gave me at the briefing room. I know others felt the same too, well aware of the fact that I'm a special forces troop- a spook. But I couldn't let him down- especially considering he'd do the same for me. So when that ramp came down, I took what I learned from my brother and charged ahead of those who were willing and maybe hesitant to follow- because no matter what motivational speech I could conjure up- if my actions and resolve didn't match, I might as well have pulled the trigger on them myself. So I grabbed that shield, gripped my weapon and gritted my teeth- roaring at the top of my lungs: "FOR THE 77TH...!!" I took that first step on the beach, and felt the rumbling of countless others behind me- for I wasn't, and would never be alone from that moment onward."A rough draft- in honor of D-Day's anniversary. This will take place at some point in the book with a focus on Tal and his crew.

GLORIOUS!!! I love how he did this because he loves his brother! I have that with my brother too! I call him my brother bc we're close like that, but anyways we kinda have a similar thing. We do things that are out of our typical specialties to get things done, or just because it means that much to each other. Like I made him my second in command despite him not typically wanting attention during a scout camp once, I got elected by surprise to be the unit leader for the provisional troop and I appointed him my right hand because I know I can trust him, and he was happy to help. On the flip side, I'm often his middle man in social interactions outside his comfort zone until he gets settled.
Anyways, I LOVE the homage to D-day! The brave men who poured out of the landing craft into continuous wave of German fire and shell bombardment. A catastrophe of an operation, but our boys pulled through! At such a cost though...

And since this series is going to have a lot of homages to current and past conflicts- there's no way there wouldn't be a D-Day one! It'll be grand I tell ya! Just need to finish the Geonosis arc right now DX such a drag having to be a part of a main canon battle- mainly because I have to dance on broken glass to not conflict with present material.

True. Loyalty to a brother should not be obscured by personal grievances. Unless of course there is some moral conflict or it's just unwise (in which case giving council would be an acceptable alternative) a good brother always has his brother's back. No, no. Thank YOU sir! I also find a way to make anything relate, whether it does or not. Usually I forcefully make everything some sort of clone allegory, especially songs... lol. I have Gutfield's logic XD
Oh I feel you man, I made my Geonosis arc short and sweet. There's nothing worse than shoehorning to agree with cannon events. Skip the walking on egg shells and go right to dancing on broken glass, oof! Can't wait for the battle homages though! IT WILL BE GLORIOUS!!!

This is really good dude, and very fitting of a d-day tribute, plus one can imagine the raw emotion and feelings in their heads while reading this and I'm glad that tal has his own company/crew and out of curiousity do they have their own company name?
