Very nice! Love the subdued palette that is glorified by the plethora of spectrum colors!

Thanks a lot! As I mentioned to quargoyle (above), I have always enjoyed making tinted ink drawings, where only select parts are painted. I really like the effect it creates. Thanks for sharing in my enthusiasm

Thank you very much. I do enjoy making tinted ink drawings, where only select parts are painted. It's a technique I keep going back to. I really like the effect it creates. I'm glad you do too

Which God is depicted? I used to know them really well. Ixtab?

The central figure in this piece is based on a painting I did years ago called "Time Traveler". I didn't really consider him to be any more of a god than anyone else...just a human, using magick to bend linear time. The grotesque faces are based on Mayan funerary masks.

Well, quite simply, he's fabulous. Your description makes a lot of sense actually. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Thank you. And I appreciate that you notice the authenticity. These symbols, lined up the way they are shown here, represent Dec 21, 2012, the end of this calendar wheel, and presumably, the beginning of another.

Thanks for noticing. Yeah. Gah-zillions of dots. I used to use all different sized pens to get different graded effects, but nowadays, it's all 005 for me. More dots for darker, less for lighter. It's super-tedious, but makes for a much finer effect overall. Thanks for checking it out!
