Description Download the mod over here www.dropbox.com/s/6r4hyuk0ucsb… . The current version is 1.4.

1.1: Added missing animations for Robes, Power Armor
1.2: Added missing animations for Adv. Power Armor
1.3: Fixed visibility-sphere bug
1.4: Fixed sledgehammer displacement bug

If the game crashes when you're using this mod, report in the comments what weapon you were holding, what armor you were wearing and what you were doing when it crashed. There is a possibility that some animations are broken, which could crash the game.

When used together with the Fallout 2 Restoration Project. Un-check "Weapon Animations" during the installation or they'll be replaced with the regular human animations
Video of the mod in action: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWywu3…

Wow, I really didn't expect it to be this much work to make a new playable character in Fallout 2. There were more than 5000 frames of animation all in all for one character with one type of armor. There are over 100 animations, each with several frames and for each frame there are 6 directions.

I made a Blender scene specifically for capturing 3d objects to Fallout 2 sprites, but still. There was A LOT of work to be done to make just a single character. I had to model all the weapons myself since they're also part of the model. And the death animations, oh Loki the death animations... So much blood. The blood was made using a combination of particle effects and fluid simulations in blender.

All in all it took about two weeks.

I'd like to thank KP-ShadowSquirrel for his AMAZING 3d models, Rhodarein for his cool little image of Littlepip, the people at No Mutants Allowed forums, and of course Kkat for making Fallout: Equestria in the first place! Wooh!

-- Fallout 2: Littlepip mod v1.3 --

This mod gives you the option to play through Fallout 2 as a pony from Fallout: Equestria, a crossover fiction between Fallout and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
There are no seperate armor animations. But hey, those things were made for humans right?

Instructions:

To use this mod you need the Hero apperence mod included in Sfall, which is an engine tweak for Fallout 2.

1. Install Fallout 2. If you don't have it you can buy it cheaply on Steam.

ALTERNATIVE 2. 3. Install the Fallout 2 Restoration Project

2. Install the Fallout 2 v1.02 patch (needed for Sfall)
You can get it here www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dloa…
Alternatively you can use Killaps unofficial patch from www.killap.net/

3. Download and extract Sfall in the folder where you installed Fallout 2
You can get Sfall here sourceforge.net/projects/sfall…

Sfall is now installed, but you still need to enable the Hero apperence mod.

4. Open the folder where you installed Fallout 2, and open the file ddraw.ini
Change the line EnableHeroAppearanceMod=0 to EnableHeroAppearanceMod=1

5. Copy the Appearance folder included in this archive to your Fallout 2 folder

Now when you create a female character, you can use the arrows above the spinning model to select Unicorn.

Issues:

Very often Fallout 2 tends to have a rainbow color bug in Windows 7. You'll know it if you see it.
If that happens, simply open ddraw.ini again and change the line Mode=0 to Mode=4

Check out donitz.deviantart.com/ for the latest version of this mod.

If you find any bad bugs, please report them in the comments. Do note that missing the fall-down animation when getting shot on a new screen is a bug in Fallout 2.

I'm going to be playing through the game myself now to properly test this mod. And it was some time ago since I last played Fallout 2

Enjoy!

If you're using Windows 7 change the file permissions so you're allowed to edit the file.

Fallout 1 uses a different sprite system. It also has different sprite animations and weapons if I remember correctly.

It just told me sfall is not compatible with this version (1.02.25). is there a development page where I can go for a newer version, or do I have to downgrade my version of the game?

If you can get the .exe file from the old version it will work.

It's pretty sweet to know that the developers of the first two Fallout games are working on Project Eternity. I wonder what they'll come up with this time.

I try to make something, but I can’t transfer models, I found Centaur model, but in main we can only use human models, I can’t open folders with creature sprites & copy them to the main. Чтоб этих программистов расплющило!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Donitz In reply to SILMOR [2012-10-17 19:34:15 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure I'm following. Most of the creature models are lacking animations required by other models, so copying them without first adding additional animations usually doesn't work

TheFalloutGuy In reply to ??? [2012-10-07 19:22:51 +0000 UTC]

now not to give the vibe of ungratefulness because i love this mod, but it would have been neat if the character customization was a lot more deep. instead of just playing Lilpip you could make a stallion or mare of your own. with maybe 2 mane styles short and long, nothing to complicated ,but it'd be even more awesome if it had it. Now i LOVE the mod A LOT. changes the game so much and make's it so much fun.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Donitz In reply to TheFalloutGuy [2012-10-08 16:13:11 +0000 UTC]

Well the thing is. I theoretically could. The entire animation set is done in a Blender timeline of over 5.000 frames ( [link] ). Re-texturing the model and rendering them all again wouldn't be that hard, but then there's a Megaton of little adjustments to make on the final sprites (cropping the sprites, adding flamethrower flames, adjusting offsets) before they can be used properly within the game. And that's the part which is just so tiresome.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFalloutGuy In reply to Donitz [2012-10-09 05:16:40 +0000 UTC]

yeah, i understand how hard it could be. well I'm not going to lie, i couldn't know just HOW tiresome it could be, since I've never modded any game myself. The game itself i can kinda grasp a concept of how hard it could be but in the long run i don't. This mod itself is a big mod in it's own right because it adds a character model with it's own integrations across all items and makes separate animations for each action, (and the sad, sad deaths of lilpip) into the game. Which is conceptually difficult, more so with more modern games that had a 3d design.

But before i keep rambling on, thanks for the mod, and keep up the good work. it's just time for me to learn how to mod fallout 2 because for the past couple of days i've been trying and no fruit is bearing.

(I've been following your instructions in the description, and still no dice)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Donitz In reply to TheFalloutGuy [2012-10-09 14:21:16 +0000 UTC]

It should be rather straight forward. Did you enable the hero appearance mod so you saw the little arrows above the character in the character creator?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheFalloutGuy In reply to Donitz [2012-10-11 08:18:23 +0000 UTC]

well if you want the honest truth, i found all the mod folders and such, but the strange thing is, and i don't know how odd this will sound, the ddraw.ini file was not in the file where the instruction specified. i kept looking for it but the only file i found relatively close was ddraw.dll file, and that i can't read in english without some program i'm guessing, judging by the square language.

oh, and sorry for not responding sooner, i completely blanked out on checking my deviantart acc when i woke up today.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Donitz In reply to TheFalloutGuy [2012-10-11 12:15:32 +0000 UTC]

The ddraw.ini file is included in the sFall archive, so it should be in the same folder as Fallout 2 if it was extracted to the correct place.

TheFalloutGuy In reply to Donitz [2012-10-11 21:30:03 +0000 UTC]

okidoky then, i figured out the problem, when i extracted sfall into fallout 2, the ddraw.ini file wasn't one of the extracted files for some reason, thanks for the help!
