Description
Download the mod over here www.dropbox.com/s/6r4hyuk0ucsb… . The current version is 1.4.1.1: Added missing animations for Robes, Power Armor
1.2: Added missing animations for Adv. Power Armor
1.3: Fixed visibility-sphere bug
1.4: Fixed sledgehammer displacement bug
If the game crashes when you're using this mod, report in the comments what weapon you were holding, what armor you were wearing and what you were doing when it crashed. There is a possibility that some animations are broken, which could crash the game.
When used together with the Fallout 2 Restoration Project. Un-check "Weapon Animations" during the installation or they'll be replaced with the regular human animations
Video of the mod in action: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWywu3…
Wow, I really didn't expect it to be this much work to make a new playable character in Fallout 2. There were more than 5000 frames of animation all in all for one character with one type of armor. There are over 100 animations, each with several frames and for each frame there are 6 directions.
I made a Blender scene specifically for capturing 3d objects to Fallout 2 sprites, but still. There was A LOT of work to be done to make just a single character. I had to model all the weapons myself since they're also part of the model. And the death animations, oh Loki the death animations... So much blood. The blood was made using a combination of particle effects and fluid simulations in blender.
All in all it took about two weeks.
I'd like to thank KP-ShadowSquirrel for his AMAZING 3d models, Rhodarein for his cool little image of Littlepip, the people at No Mutants Allowed forums, and of course Kkat for making Fallout: Equestria in the first place! Wooh!

-- Fallout 2: Littlepip mod v1.3 --
This mod gives you the option to play through Fallout 2 as a pony from Fallout: Equestria, a crossover fiction between Fallout and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
There are no seperate armor animations. But hey, those things were made for humans right?

Instructions:
To use this mod you need the Hero apperence mod included in Sfall, which is an engine tweak for Fallout 2.
1. Install Fallout 2. If you don't have it you can buy it cheaply on Steam.
ALTERNATIVE 2. 3. Install the Fallout 2 Restoration Project
2. Install the Fallout 2 v1.02 patch (needed for Sfall)
You can get it here www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dloa…
Alternatively you can use Killaps unofficial patch from www.killap.net/
3. Download and extract Sfall in the folder where you installed Fallout 2
You can get Sfall here sourceforge.net/projects/sfall…
Sfall is now installed, but you still need to enable the Hero apperence mod.
4. Open the folder where you installed Fallout 2, and open the file ddraw.ini
Change the line EnableHeroAppearanceMod=0 to EnableHeroAppearanceMod=1
5. Copy the Appearance folder included in this archive to your Fallout 2 folder
Now when you create a female character, you can use the arrows above the spinning model to select Unicorn.
Issues:
Very often Fallout 2 tends to have a rainbow color bug in Windows 7. You'll know it if you see it.
If that happens, simply open ddraw.ini again and change the line Mode=0 to Mode=4
Check out donitz.deviantart.com/ for the latest version of this mod.
If you find any bad bugs, please report them in the comments. Do note that missing the fall-down animation when getting shot on a new screen is a bug in Fallout 2.
I'm going to be playing through the game myself now to properly test this mod. And it was some time ago since I last played Fallout 2
Enjoy!

Is there anyway for me to update my games with new versions? ive had the mod since around the time it came out but i didnt play a whole lot of fallout 2 (or rather, kept restarting cus i stopped playing for a few weeks and completly lost track of what i was doing and why) My current game with littlepip is the longest ive gone with it (just now got to broken hills. Running over lumpy in the process) and would rather not have to restart because late in the game i wont be able to wear power armor.

You mean the new version of this mod? You can just copy the new Appearance folder over the old one.

OK I FIXED IT. you have to install the restoration project first, then edit the ddraw.ini file. (this next part is the part where I was messing up), I installed the patch you posted in the description, although the patch is already in the RP, overriding it was causing it to crash. (IF YOU ARE USING THE RESTORATION PROJECT YOU DONT NEED THE V1.02 OR THE UNOFFICIAL PATCH, THEY ARE ALREADY INCLUDED. PUTTING THEM TOGETHER WILL EITHER CRASH YOUR GAME OR THEY WONT WORK)
After I fixed that, it would load but I still couldn't select littlpip, so instead of renaming the appearance folder that comes with the RP or the littlpip appearance folder, I moved what was in the littlepip appearance folder into the RP appearance folder. this made it work, and after literally three days of trying to get this to work its fixed
thank you Donitz for the Littlpip mod and thank you Kklaps for the restoration project and for the updates as well.

I downloaded this mod with the restoration project about 8 months ago, and It worked fine. Somehow I deleted it and went to reinstall both of them and found that both had an update. When I tried to put them together they didn't work. do you think that they dont work together. (restoration project 2.0\ littlpip mod 1.3)

No. It says that the Restoration Project v2 fixes issues with the Hero appearance mod, so it should work. Make sure it's enabled in ddraw.ini.

which should I install first, cause I first installed the littlpip mod and tested it and I could select littlpip, but when I installed the restoration project on top of it, I could no longer select littlpip. is it because the restoration project includes the sfall patch and replaces the files? even when I enabled the Hero Appearance mod. Or should I delete the appearance folder that comes with the restoration project and replace it with the littlpip appearance folder, I dont care for the other characters in the restoration mod.

You could try doing that. If I remember correctly Littlepip is always the first female custom character in the list.

Hi total noob here; does anyone know a good guide to installing mods for Fallout 2, ive been at it for hours now and have only managed to fix the rainbow windows 7 graphics issue :\ (killaps patch, Sfall, and the apppearance folder are all in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 2" folder but nothing works including reading through the ddraw.ini file
PS great looking mod by the way

If you can find EnableHeroAppearanceMod in the ddraw.ini file the mod is installed correctly.

i wonder how long it would take to apply the code and art for little pip to all the characters.... except with different colors and mane styles.. and maybe rename some locations... quite a while probably... but ... it seems possible.

Donitz In reply to mego-pie [2013-03-12 06:15:06 +0000 UTC]
It would be neigh impossible to reprogram the game since they haven't released the source code for Fallout 2.
But there are map editors and all the critters can be replaced. You just have to make different types of animations for different critters.

While not impossible, it would take several days to add just a single new armor and I currently don't have the free time for it.
