Description
Download the mod over here www.dropbox.com/s/6r4hyuk0ucsb… . The current version is 1.4.1.1: Added missing animations for Robes, Power Armor
1.2: Added missing animations for Adv. Power Armor
1.3: Fixed visibility-sphere bug
1.4: Fixed sledgehammer displacement bug
If the game crashes when you're using this mod, report in the comments what weapon you were holding, what armor you were wearing and what you were doing when it crashed. There is a possibility that some animations are broken, which could crash the game.
When used together with the Fallout 2 Restoration Project. Un-check "Weapon Animations" during the installation or they'll be replaced with the regular human animations
Video of the mod in action: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWywu3…
Wow, I really didn't expect it to be this much work to make a new playable character in Fallout 2. There were more than 5000 frames of animation all in all for one character with one type of armor. There are over 100 animations, each with several frames and for each frame there are 6 directions.
I made a Blender scene specifically for capturing 3d objects to Fallout 2 sprites, but still. There was A LOT of work to be done to make just a single character. I had to model all the weapons myself since they're also part of the model. And the death animations, oh Loki the death animations... So much blood. The blood was made using a combination of particle effects and fluid simulations in blender.
All in all it took about two weeks.
I'd like to thank KP-ShadowSquirrel for his AMAZING 3d models, Rhodarein for his cool little image of Littlepip, the people at No Mutants Allowed forums, and of course Kkat for making Fallout: Equestria in the first place! Wooh!

-- Fallout 2: Littlepip mod v1.3 --
This mod gives you the option to play through Fallout 2 as a pony from Fallout: Equestria, a crossover fiction between Fallout and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
There are no seperate armor animations. But hey, those things were made for humans right?

Instructions:
To use this mod you need the Hero apperence mod included in Sfall, which is an engine tweak for Fallout 2.
1. Install Fallout 2. If you don't have it you can buy it cheaply on Steam.
ALTERNATIVE 2. 3. Install the Fallout 2 Restoration Project
2. Install the Fallout 2 v1.02 patch (needed for Sfall)
You can get it here www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dloa…
Alternatively you can use Killaps unofficial patch from www.killap.net/
3. Download and extract Sfall in the folder where you installed Fallout 2
You can get Sfall here sourceforge.net/projects/sfall…
Sfall is now installed, but you still need to enable the Hero apperence mod.
4. Open the folder where you installed Fallout 2, and open the file ddraw.ini
Change the line EnableHeroAppearanceMod=0 to EnableHeroAppearanceMod=1
5. Copy the Appearance folder included in this archive to your Fallout 2 folder
Now when you create a female character, you can use the arrows above the spinning model to select Unicorn.
Issues:
Very often Fallout 2 tends to have a rainbow color bug in Windows 7. You'll know it if you see it.
If that happens, simply open ddraw.ini again and change the line Mode=0 to Mode=4
Check out donitz.deviantart.com/ for the latest version of this mod.
If you find any bad bugs, please report them in the comments. Do note that missing the fall-down animation when getting shot on a new screen is a bug in Fallout 2.
I'm going to be playing through the game myself now to properly test this mod. And it was some time ago since I last played Fallout 2
Enjoy!

one question, I saw that some weapons or ammo is bugged and even those hit they never deal damage. For example the hunting rifle, doesn't matter who carries it, it always makes no damage at all, is this because of the mod? the patch? or is something already in the game?

Donitz In reply to Amalvi [2012-08-31 08:31:51 +0000 UTC]
Check the accuracy percentage. If it's very low you may almost never hit anyone.

Is not the accuraccy, the attack hits, but always shows as (for example) "Bandit hits little pip for no damage". Also is not my character only, is every npc equipped with a hunting rifle as well

absolutely nothing besides the patch and sfall.

no. But again, is not the character, is the weapons because that happens to every single npc with the hunting rifle. And again, the weapon hits, but hits for no damage

Strange. I don't think it is an issue with the Hero Appearance mod since I've been using the rifle myself.

After some reading and experimentation.
Yea, I can safely say that with out crossover or winewrapper this mod (saddly) will never work on mac.
A company called MacPlay made a legit port of the game with some different code, and the windows .exe file in sfall is unexecutable and uninstallable. I'm someone used to finding workarounds to get things to work, but this is something im confident to say will never work, unless this mod is ported itsself.
please, Please, PLEASE port this to mac!

This mod is a sprite package for the Hero Appearance Mod included in sFall. If they didn't release the mod for Mac I think your only option is to run a virtual machine.

The easiest cheat to use would be [link] . It can replace any item in your inventory with a similar type of item.

I decided to go with a version from GoG.com. Installed everything like your readme said (SFall and nothing else), and after playing it for a bit, I noticed one annoying problem: whenever my character is standing behind a wall during combat, and attacks something standing next to her, then that "bubble of light" (the one that allows us to see our character from behind a wall) moves somewhere below whenever an attack animation is played, resulting in my character not being visible from behind a wall during that animation. I have tested it only with unarmed attacks so far.

Donitz In reply to UnimportantUsername [2012-08-28 08:34:47 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. That is an annoying bug caused by the visibility being centered at the non-cropped sprites.
I have uploaded a new version (1.3) where I fixed most of these issues. I won't be able to try it out myself until I get home so please tell if you notice any more bugs.

But I must note here, Littlepip's animations look pretty cute, I love the way she uses her front hooves or her muzzle when interacting with things. Will definitely continue playing.

The third I'm here to praise your work ^^'
After I died a couple of times I got to see all the death animations. Oh boy...must've been a whole lot of work. They're all very well done, though there's something I need to nitpick about.
You've probably been already notified about it, but the Pip-Boy/Pip-Buck is on the rigth foreleg.
Isn't it supposed to be on the left leg?
As I said before, just some nitpicking

I bought the original Fallout trilogy about two months ago because of a Steam sale. I stopped playing the same day because I couldn't deal with the hexagonal grids. I may just give them another try now.

okay, so after moving some files to another directory it works. However when I play the message: You have overwritten the RP ddraw.ini file, revert it inmediatly before is too late. It allows me to play the game but is annoying. What can cause it?

Mods are made by the general public or a developer and can be entirely new games in themselves, but mods are not stand-alone software and require the user to have the original release in order to run. They can include new items, weapons, characters, enemies, models, textures, levels, story lines, music, and game modes[...] Anyway, hi aceline.

a mod, short for modification, is when an end user or third party (someone who had no hand in creating the original game) changes a game's programming or art files, usually with the intent to add new content.
