Great art for a great story. In the Navy, we called this "the breaks of Navy Air". Fighting for altitude, miles, gas and breath. You own the fourth wall, save them. Hey, an idea, Dodger ejects over the beach and gets SAR rescue by Seals. Damn, can't you just see them on a Carrier surrounded by thousand of sailors!

Good piece of ingenuity on Wildfire's part. And I like that last frame and its haziness from Valkyrie's point of view; I'm guessing it's to let the reader know she's not 100 percent. Makes me want to say "Hang on, Valkyrie, you've come this far!"
