(I'll admit, I cried a little while drawing this)

I'm really proud of this picture, you guys. It took me a long time and it was done entirely on my tablet. It's the first time ever that I've had an idea and been able to draw it exactly as I imagined, without having to settle.

Steven Boxleitner from Wordgirl slowly sinking into his mind, trying to reach out for help.
I always get depressed when I think about Steven inside of Two Brain's mind. The show tries to pretend that episode 10 of the promos where Steven speaks out against Two Brains's actions never happened but we the fans still remember.It breaks my heart that we have never and probably will never hear from dear Steven again.

It's my head canon that, as time went on, Steven's personality was more and more overwhelmed by his two other personalities, to the point where he can no longer influence their body at all but he is still fully aware of everything going on and he holds on to the desperate hope that Wordgirl or any of his other friends will realize that he's still there and help him.

Aside from being fan art, this is also a reference to people who are fully conscious but are completely paralyzed and desperately try to send some kind of signal that they are still alive/awake.

I took off Steven's gloves and jacket in this picture both because it was easier to draw and because I wanted him to seem more vulnerable. He's also supposed to look like he's sinking into a black goo.

To draw the hand in this drawing, I actually took a picture of my own hand, then photoshopped it into the drawing and traced it.
