Description
Men have problems. Women have problems. Men and women are people. People should matter equally. Now why is that so hard to understand? Feminists are quick to counter any mention of men's issues with "b-but male privilege!" As if that diminishes the severity of men's issues, including:
-high suicide rates
-low access to domestic violence shelters
-increasing numbers of high school and university dropouts
-prostate cancer
-overwhelming majority of the homeless population
-longer prison sentences
-anti-male bias in family and divorce courts
-huge majority of workplace deaths
-majority of veterans suffering from PTSD
-and much, much more.
Does "male privilege" make those problems go away? Do they not matter just because women have problems, too, which feminists deem automatically worse because 'patriarchy'? Screaming "privilege" doesn't help the veteran about to kill himself because the family courts took his children from him. Screaming "privilege" just lets feminists get away with ignoring him.
And even if privilege did negate people's problems, most of the feminists screaming 'privilege' should just shut up because they're white and have "white privilege" and black people have it worse.
Yes, I know, "intersectionality," "power politics," "oppression of women," other buzzwords yada yada yada. But feminists crashing conferences about the male suicide epidemic, shutting down shelters for men, and throwing a hissy fit when a Men and Boys focus team is proposed to address dropout rates isn't helping anyone at all.
And no, you can't just blame it on the "patriarchy."

Yes, I just wish they made a stamp stating both the problems. I don't exactly like one-gender stamp sympathy only.
And I've matured now.

They never said that! Their point is that everyone always focuses on women's while dismissing men's issues.

There's tons of stamps for only women, but men can face some bad discrimination problems as well and also be treated like crap. Β I'm speaking from experience here. Β I'm all for equality and I will not treat a man or woman any differently from each other. Β If one does something wrong, I act the same as if it's for anyone and call them out or take action.
However, when it comes to issues of a male against a female and the issue has nothing to do with the gender but how the woman may be treating the man, too many people go to defend the woman and crap all over the man and just end up giving him a lot of emotional issues in the end.

Women's issues DO matter. I'm not debating that. I'm female, I know the problems my sex faces.
Breast cancer research gets so much more funding than prostate cancer research, despite the fact that breast cancer and prostate cancer have roughly the same mortality rate, with prostate cancer being diagnosed more often.
Prostate cancer is to men as breast cancer is to women. Testicular cancer is to men as ovarian/uterine cancer is to women. Why aren't they receiving more funding? Why should breast cancer receive priority?
This is not a "screw women, men's problems are more important" stamp. This is a "please don't dismiss male suffering as 'male tears,' it's very serious" stamp.

I would say "Men's issues matter TOO" because they suffer as much as women. Men, women, children: we're all suffering.
Faving this.

Men may not be suffering for the exact same reasons as women most of the time, but we can be just as equally discriminated against. Β I've been a huge victim of male discrimination before thanks to an ex-friend who turned on me, accepted none of her faults, and was a total coward in the end as she lied about a serious issue that happened with me. Β At first she believed I really was lying about my serious issue, but then she was shown the proof, but she wouldn't apologize to me about it, and she went on to say I was lying anyway. Β She's total scum.
