DontNeedFeminism — Screaming 'Privilege' Doesn't Change That

Description Men have problems. Women have problems. Men and women are people. People should matter equally.

Now why is that so hard to understand? Feminists are quick to counter any mention of men's issues with "b-but male privilege!" As if that diminishes the severity of men's issues, including:

-high suicide rates
-low access to domestic violence shelters
-increasing numbers of high school and university dropouts
-prostate cancer
-overwhelming majority of the homeless population
-longer prison sentences
-anti-male bias in family and divorce courts
-huge majority of workplace deaths
-majority of veterans suffering from PTSD
-and much, much more.

Does "male privilege" make those problems go away? Do they not matter just because women have problems, too, which feminists deem automatically worse because 'patriarchy'? Screaming "privilege" doesn't help the veteran about to kill himself because the family courts took his children from him. Screaming "privilege" just lets feminists get away with ignoring him.

And even if privilege did negate people's problems, most of the feminists screaming 'privilege' should just shut up because they're white and have "white privilege" and black people have it worse.

Yes, I know, "intersectionality," "power politics," "oppression of women," other buzzwords yada yada yada. But feminists crashing conferences about the male suicide epidemic, shutting down shelters for men, and throwing a hissy fit when a Men and Boys focus team is proposed to address dropout rates isn't helping anyone at all.

And no, you can't just blame it on the "patriarchy."

and the fact that guys can have part of their dicks cut without consent off is fucked up in its own right.
so is the fact that a woman can poke holes in her condoms and get pregnant just to trap the guy into a relationship.

Even if the man was abusive, it's still a crime and if she could have gotten out of the relationship or something, then she should be punished for the crime as she's insane.

I'm no MRA but that is institutionalized sexism against (or for if you're a patriot) men at it's finest.

Or that male rape statistics are a lot higher than the public might imagine and that false rape accusations made by females against males are regarded with more sincerity and pity towards the "victim" than accusations of rape made by males against females because society has conditioned us to believe that men cannot be raped.

Totally off subject I know but I think the males were meant to protect the females and the females get to do things in peace and I think males WERE doing a good job at it until femanisim came along and made woman protest against there protecters.

so I don't see the reason being angry if a male says there stronger even if I don't agree but why is it sexist if men were MADE to be stronger  I want hear your opinions though so I can feed on knowledge 😉

DontNeedFeminism In reply to Hatooteh [2015-09-05 21:55:54 +0000 UTC]

Feminists don't like it when their opinions are blemished with facts, so they disregard facts. Men are on average naturally stronger than women. Our bodies are built differently for a reason. But to a feminist, everything a man does is sexist.

What I don't like is being prevented from doing heavy-lifting and such simply because I'm a woman. I'm stronger than most women and some men. Built like an ox, y'know? But in Russia, women just aren't allowed to do it themselves. It would be fine if I physically couldn't do it myself, but why should two weaker men have to lift something for me that I can do on my own?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Hatooteh In reply to DontNeedFeminism [2015-09-06 10:07:19 +0000 UTC]

True but if someone does something for you take it as a compliments

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MysteriousTomJenkins In reply to Hatooteh [2015-11-26 05:27:25 +0000 UTC]

Why should they? They just explained that because they are a woman they aren't allowed to do physical activities like lifting heavy things. If there is something heavy to lift, she isn't allowed to lift it because she is a woman and it's assumed to physically weaker men will do a better job, how is that a compliment?

And women's issues don't matter...?

And you mentioned prostate cancer.
Yes, that's bad. But women have cancer problems too.
Ovarian cancer.
Breast cancer.
And cancer in your uterus.
Everyone has problems, dude.
And have you seen the way they treat girls in some places?
It's awful.
I won't even explain the stuff they do to you if you are female.

They do matter but
men also need support

Note: These cancers can happen in men as well. Both trans and cis men can have breast cancer. Some transmen can have ovarian/uterus cancer.
