Tall floodlights lit the football grounds beneath a crisp night sky. Daisy stood in the bottleneck of people crowded by the admissions gate which were being gradually filtered into the ground. It was a big crowd and an excitable atmosphere was building. A cheer was released as a batch of twenty or thirty people which included Daisy were released through the gate. The crowd quickly dispersed into the heart of the grounds with a seemingly clear idea of where they were going leaving Daisy isolated and looking a little lost as she scanned the ground for a set of benches and the burger grill kiosk where Amanda said she, Suzy and Zarah would be.

The plan had been for them to all come in together but Daisy had a late outfit problem which set her back half an hour. The stitching of her skirt had come loose so she had to re-stitch the fabric tighter in hope to avoid a serious wardrobe malfunction at the festival. The creaping sense of doubt had returned. What if the stitching comes loose again? There's nowhere to hide now!

After some wandering she finally spotted the girls by the benches. They were together but not mingling with anyone, just chatting amongst themselves and waiting for her. Daisy had kept her head down as she walked, keen to avoid bumping into anybody from Sherwik just yet. Most others in costumes could move incognito whereas Daisy and the girls had been dressed to be identified and this made her feel a little vulnerable. I wonder has anyone seen me yet? And what do they think?
Daisy accessed the girls outfits and they did the same to her. Suzy looked predictably perfect showing her flat stomach and toned thighs. She had rolled her skirt to allow for a more generous view of her legs. Amanda had a slightly curvier frame than Zarah which gave her skirt a little lift on the legs, a minor misftting in comparion to Daisy. As they chatted Daisy noticed discreet glances at her skirt. What are they looking at? Is this thread coming loose again?

They had positioned themselves by the benches which was a good vantage point to see others and be seen. A few heads had turned in recognition of the girls and before long they had attracted some familiar faces into conversation. They washed back a couple of drinks and settled at the benches where a Sherwik High nucleus was developing, as per planned. Suzy was smitten with how things were going as they lured the attention of others.

Spirits, beers and pumpkin spiced cocktails were aplenty and so were burgers, pizzas, fries and other greasy foods, chocolates, sweets and candy floss. Daisy tended to eat more when she drank. It helped soak the alcohol and stopped her from getting too drunk but mainly she just got snacky.

She found herself hovering around the burger grill kiosk as Amanda, Suzy and Zarah rotated in and out of conversation with her and others from Sherwik. Daisy found herself listening more than speaking because her mouth was either full of food or moving in for another bite. She started with a double quarter pounder, she would always go double when it was on the menu. The brioche bun slicked her fingers and juice squeezed from the patties as she bit down into the meat.

Timing would have it that whenever she finished her food another set of people would join her in conversation and open up the opportunity to order again and help disguise the fact that she was going back for more. This sequence replayed about four of five times at the burger kiosk alone. She followed her double quarter pounder with a southern fried chicken burger and then a gaucho hot dog and then jumbo onion rings and nachos
