Just the tail end of page 7 that i didn't want to stick on the end of the already terribly long strip.
WARNING:LONG INVOLVED EXPLANATION BELOW. IF YOU DON'T CARE, DON'T READ.
K as I promised, how/why Jamie see's peoples souls when she hums.
Jamie started out a normal no powers human, and for the most part she still is. But over the course of her travels with her good friend Pyro (a Dragon/shape shifter/demigod from Canada) she has started to acquire some of his talents. Namely she can hear the "song" of a universe and can warp it to change the verse itself. Of course she isn't a dragon and never will be so she is limited. Where Pyro uses fire her lungs have only air so she must use song. This means she's limited by her vocal range. Also she has no idea what she is doing and so her power really only works for her if she uses it without thinking. finally she has no magic herself so anything she does has to be fueled by the world around her.
Then there's the Virus. It's a dragon disease but lucky her, Jamie is just enough non human for it to take hold. To prevent a dragon from burning it out of it's system, the virus will take hold of the lungs first, preventing its host from getting enough air to flame. This also means that Jamie can't get enough air to sing. However Jamie isn't dragon enough to make full infection easy for the little bugger so over time it has gotten more and more aggressive. Eventually if infection is impossible on the inside it may try to attack from the outside to weaken the host. (acid snot). Now this is a virus so it doesn't actually think but if it did it would really want to conquer Jamie because if it did then it could take the next step and start infecting full humans.
