Totally my first attempt at painting anything in a long while.So I randomly decided to take a crack at painting in SAI, and I tried drawing a sunset. We have some really beautiful sunsets out here in Washington, but since it was dark at the time, I tried to just reference a photograph.
... can't really say it worked as intended, but I think I kinda like it.
EDIT: It looks really weird when looked at too close. I find hitting download and looking at the resize makes the most sense.

We do! Especially recently. Sometimes it looks like there's a weird rainbow in the sky, since closest to the horizon it's dark pink/red, and works its way through orange to yellowish, and then to blue/purple. ^^

I so want to do a painting of an actual Washington sunset one of these days.
The orange of the clouds mixed with the blue of the sky... it's amazing.

SAI is an art program much like Photoshop, but it's a *LOT* cheaper to buy. (like $50 or something..) the downside is that you need Paypal in order to buy it, but the up side is that it's a *REALLY* nice program for inking and painting. (a lot less tablet lag than say, Photoshop)
