Ah... This's one of those things I really wouldn't have posted normally, but... Looking back at old drawings, I just felt like "Eh, why not?" y'know? (Also should probably post in higher res, but what'ev's)

Both of these are pictures I never finished, but enjoyed working with both of them and it really SHOULD be a two-character picture with both of them, so here I go.

Only thing really missing is finishing Relevae's hands, which I am (hopelessly) atrocious at XD;

But, anyway.

Backstory:

Relevae and Aryva are a mother / daughter pair created by and I.

They come from a world called Geisaro, and, like all demons from Geisaro, they are dragon-type and possess minor shapeshifting ability. Unlike normal demons however, their shapeshifting ability grants them the power to manifest into a large bestial dragon, whose size depends on the power of the demon. Also unlike normal demons, they possess a sort of "second puberty" evoked after consuming crystals grown deep underneath the citadel that marks the center (and birthplace) of their civilization. This "second puberty" is effectively a personalized "demon transformation", it modifies the person's appearance and abilities to match (and supply for ) their truest desires. As such, generations upon generations of transformations for similar desires have shaped Geisaro demon culture to the extent that it has broken into various clans archetypical of their common desires. (Similar to a caste system in an ant hive.)

Every so often, when going through "second puberty", "Mystic powers" would manifest in addition to whatever other traits were desired. These demons are often misunderstood and shunned, either by themselves or by their peers. When shunned for this power, these demons invariably seek out others like themselves, and a highly esoteric clan, the Mystic clan, was born of these like-minded wanderers.

Relevae was born into this clan.

Geisaro demons as a culture possess an interesting mix of modern amenities (and technology) and magic, and their fashion is a bit based on modern Japanese trends and futuristic motifs. They are said to have descended from divinity, where their ancient ancestors, the First of the Geisaro Demons, were likened to gods, possessing a deific power and seen as the Progenitors of the world. However, over the generations, these traits, stored in genes, were diluted and spread throughout the ancient clans, and even the head clans of the Geisaro demons were "deific" no more. These genes still exist, however, even in modern day. Geisaro demons are said to descend from "Dark" type progenitors, but it's believed that with any "Dark" there must also be a "Light".

Relevae Hymer:
Skills:
Relevae possesses a great deal of skill in enchanting and sorcery, and seamstress work as well due to her rather "atypical" body build for her entire youth (same build Aryva has on the right). She had to learn to tailor her own outfits because a petite frame and a large endowment do not a common outfit cut make, and she spent trips to the "Big cities" not shopping for clothes, but for gathering inspiration ideas for what to make for herself. As such, she got so used to mixing and matching styles that she kind of developed her own style entirely. Relevae also possesses a decent amount of skill in making jewelry and metalshaping via magic, giving her skills similar to a blacksmith in ways, though she uses the shaping to create settings for jewelry, and she uses the jewelry primarily as subjects for her enchantments. That said, Relevae is a bit of an artist in her hobbies. (Relevae is also a closet otaku-type)

Relevae is secretly the amalgamation of all of the mystic powers in the clan, and possesses every mystic power in the world, except for one. As such, because the Mystic powers are actually the manifestation of the ancient genes of the Progenitors, Relevae is effectively the precursor / prototype to the birth of a Progenitor-grade demon. (She only needs to create a child with the holder of the last gene and it's "Done")

Due to her upbringing as a Mystic (and her amalgamation of powers), Relevae is a Seer / Oracle of sorts, and has sporadic visions / dreams of the future from time to time.

A long-hidden secret of Relevae's is that her "Dragon" form is not the European / "Western"-themed dragon that other Geisaro demons possess, but instead is a deeply Chinese/Japanese-themed "Eastern" dragon's body, and her mystic powers all seem inspired by that same theme.

History:
Though she felt she lacked a "calling" in life, Relevae was born into the Mystic clan and grew up a sorceress and craftswoman of sorts, until her occasional child-like bouts of playful mischief somehow caused her to cross paths with the ruling (then-)prince of the dynasty of the ruling clan (the Hymers) while out and about in the enchanted forests and fields that the Mystics called "Home". They hit it off pretty quickly, as Relevae learned more about the inner nature of her nearly same-aged prince. He was equally enthralled with her, and as the prince was in town to personally (and sheepishly) deliver a proclamation forced upon him by his grandchildren-desiring elder clan members announcing the generational "Queen's Tournament" (judged by the prince himself) to aid in finding a Queen for the ruling clan, Relevae took an interest upon hearing this news. She would not have been interested had she not been already a little smitten with the prince after meeting him, but it was that mutual smittenness that won Relevae the contest almost by default. The tournament then really served its OTHER secondary purpose, which was to showcase to the empire the powers possessed by their future queen, and Relevae was every part the Mystic.

Winning the tournament doesn't MEAN that she would marry him, but it instead granted Relevae permission to live in the palace until her wedding, should it be the case. Their courtship continued much as it began with that chance meeting in the forest, after getting past that initial awkward phase of feeling like everyone was watching them. Friendship bloomed to companionship, with in turn bloomed to love and romance. The royal Hymer wedding took place some months later, and, after Relevae had felt that she truly found her calling in life, Relevae secretly requested the collection of ingredients for the transformation potion to evoke her "Second Puberty" as a secret wedding present for her husband, the king for their wedding night.

Relevae brewed a stronger potion than the typical dose, and the after-effects had a more "complete" change, causing.. ...greater effects than initially expected, even for Relevae.

Relevae's desires were for family since she had none of her own, and she had every intention of having a large one with her beloved husband. Relevae's transformation virtually triggered a previously unheard-of transformation desire, and the transformation gave her the powers and figure of a fertility-type. Relevae and her husband conceived Aryva that very night.

Unfortunately, all is not to last forever. Not 12 years after Aryva's birth, a long-dormant cult-like clan of dark warrior-sorcerors worshiping an ancient clan called the Necrotics emerged to usurp the throne from the Hymers, with unprecedentedly large armies and powers behind them.

Knowing he could not hold the palace forever, Relevae's husband (and Aryva's father) sent Relevae and Aryva to the Human Realm portion of Geisaro (it is a plane split into two separate realms) and sealed the gate behind. The ruler is slain, and the remaining members of the Hymer clan go into hiding lest they be found next, and left only the option to hide and plot for their someday revenge.

Relevae raised her daughter Aryva in the human realm for the next several thousand years, and still looks forward to seeing her daughter reach the "Marrying Age" of 2,000-3,000+ and finding a man she can keep.

She made her living in the human realm as a seamstress and a jeweler, and a small-time enchantress for those aware of magic in the Human Realm's less magic-centric culture.

Personality:
Relevae's personality is very feminine, soft and motherly. She is every bit the "Enchantress" that her skills imply, and since the death of her husband, she's been on the prowl to find a new one. (Her husband's clan adores her, and wants to see her move on from his death.) ...However, he set a caliber that most men under the age of say, 3,000 simply couldn't live up to, and Relevae isn't interested in anything less than the caliber of man her husband was. Still, "Girl's Gotta Eat", and Relevae and Aryva have the same tastes on men from a sex appeal standpoint, and Aryva isn't a big fan of looking for dates alongside her mom because Relevae tends to command attention for.. ..."obvious" reasons. Relevae is flirty and playful with nearly anyone she likes in virtually any capacity (romantic or not), and this side of her particularly comes out when doting on her daughter, who Relevae LOVES to tease relentlessly.

Nagala looks up to Relevae as the sort of woman she would like to be someday, and sort of subconsciously mentors under her from their meeting and onward. Relevae has surprisingly similar feelings for Nagala, and the two are great friends, as each has something to learn from the other.

Relevae is also a COMPLETE troll, when she can get away with it. The term "Troll-dere" comes to mind.

Looks:
Prior to her transformation, Relevae looked a LOT like Aryva in terms of figure. Child-like youthful face, petite frame and breasts large to a point that they just don't quite match the rest of her body. Her sea green hair's been much the same it always has been, though.

After her transformation, Relevae's hips blossomed out to a degree that would even catch the eye of a fertility goddess, and her breasts grew to a point that she could feed any number of future children with ease. (Sushiko would be quite jealous)

A peculiar quirk of Relevae's personality is that she is VERY proud of her breast size, but REFUSES to let it get in the way. As such, she moves like it isn't there, and as a result she's VERY prone to "squish" motions because of her "careless" attitude.

Relevae's spine also grew somewhat with the transformation, and she shifted from a 5'4-5'5 height to closer to a 5'9 height to give her more abdominal space optimized to her preferred capacity.

Her taste in clothing is a mix of "casual housewife", " 'carelessly' generous curve-bearing clothing" and "a certain Mystic/Sorceress flare". Relevae should somewhat give the look of a Sorceress Queen that chose to be a "housewife" of her own volition, while her warm smile should betray her deep inner kindness and warmth.

Aryva Hymer:
History:
Aryva Hymer was born the daughter of the King / Emperor of the Hymer Dynasty, and as such she is technically a princess. As Aryva's father possessed the last missing Mystic gene to "complete" the revival of the Progenitors, Aryva possessed from a very early age a seemingly ABSURD amount of power. She was largely forbidden from spellcasting of any sort because when she did, even SIMPLE spells became miniature magical armageddons in condensed form if she so much as sneezed while concentrating. This continued until at age six Aryva was given by Relevae (their resident enchantress, sorceress, mystic and, in this case, metal shaper) a set of stylish, gold-plated "Limiter" jewelry that would keep her powers in check until she could better control them, so she could learn magic at a more "normal" rate without fear of.. ..explosions.

Aryva wears these pieces of jewelry with joy as they are gifts from her parents, very stylish, and allow her to live without fear, and she continues wearing them into her adult life in the human realm of Geisaro long after the fall of her clan and her and her mother's move into exile.

All is well for the first couple thousand years. Not much to say on that point in Aryva's life: She (mostly) relies on her mother's skills and serves as her assistant, while Aryva herself is mostly a nerd and became HUGELY into electronic games and anime as they became available to humanity in her realm.

Things started to suck when Aryva was out in the shopping districts of her town with her boyfriend of the time and some covert Necrotic-worshipers spotted Aryva.

The truth is, the Necrotics were interested in the Hymers and their Dynasty not for the throne, but for Relevae and Aryva. The Necrotics secretly orchestrated the birth of the Mystic clan by guiding those with Mystic powers to join the clan from the shadows, the Mystics themselves never truly knowing they were being led. ..or bred. Relevae was their penultimate creation, the culmination of every gene except for the Hymer-born genes, which lucky for them, Relevae pursued on her own when she fell in love with the prince and married him to make Aryva. Were Aryva lost, the Necrotics could have bred Relevae with other Hymers to replace the king in siring new "gods", but to find Aryva still alive, they felt they could still use her to create their god.

Aryva evades her own capture by overloading her limiters in her "fight of flight" reflex, but in doing so, she causes a magical explosion that blows a hole in the dimensional barrier, which cleanly sucks her (and her boyfriend) into it before closing behind her, leaving only perplexed Necrotics wondering what the hell just happened.

Aryva is catapulted into a much more medieval (and magical) themed world called Risala whose very religion deems her a "monstrosity" and promptly seals her away in a particularly powerful anti-demon tomb.

For 1,000 years, Aryva lays dormant as Relevae fears for the loss of her daughter yet never truly gives up, until one day, as Nagala's Sliders-like dimension-traveling party happens to be passing through the dimension of Risala, they unearth and unseal her tomb to release Aryva, who would immediately become one of Nagala's best friends and demonic mentors.

Aryva and crew return to Geisaro to tell Relevae of their finding her, and Relevae is rather pleasantly surprised to, after her tearful reunion, lay eyes upon a certain gentleman in Nagala's party... ...Good ol' Toriev. (But that's a story for later, haha)

Skills:
Though Aryva is the culmination of all of the Necrotics' effort in reviving their ancient god, Aryva is a "dormant" form of anything resembling that, at best.

...That being said, Aryva possesses an ABSURD amount of power, just her "mystic" powers have seemingly not yet awakened. Certainly not to the capacity that they have with Relevae.

As such, Aryva's "Skills" revolve mostly around what magic she has been able to pick up, and what trades and techniques she has trained in over the years.

That being said....

..."Video Games"...?

Personality:
In a word: "Spunky". Aryva is kind of "touchy" about certain subjects, and has much of the mannerisms and cadence of a nerdy girl in her mid-20s. This only further feeds into Relevae's loving teasing of Aryva, which is none lessened before or after Aryva's 1,000 year absence.

Aryva has a certain chip on her shoulder when interacting with other demons or people who know about her power: They all innately FEAR her because of her ability to.. .well, blow things up. Aryva has wanted to prove for her entire life that this ever-present fear is unfounded, and that she is NOT EVIL. (even the RISALANs innately thought she was evil) It's like a weird aura she gives off and just can't control.

Looks:
Aryva possesses a "Curvy/Cuteness" that is somehow bellied by an ever-present aura of darkness. It may not be visible in the drawing, but... I suppose in a colored version, there's a certain... "thing" about her that repels even more than it attracts. As such, Relevae's boyfriends tend to be either oblivious of her aura or attracted to slightly "goth-y" girls, as she doesn't LOOK "goth-y" but the aura kind of feeds it.

Aryva's sense of fashion, though hand-tailored by Relevae (who has good tastes), is kind of a blend of "modern / futuristic"-styled clothing with a blend of Japanese patterning / flare, similar to Geisaro fashion and also the current styles that are "hot" in Geisaro's Human Realm.

As was the case for Relevae, this is only Aryva's "Pre-transformation" form...

Aryva and crew return to Geisaro to tell Relevae of their finding her, and Relevae is rather pleasantly surprised to, after her tearful reunion, lay eyes upon a certain gentleman in Nagala's party... ...Good ol' Toriev. (But that's a story for later, haha)

Skills:
Though Aryva is the culmination of all of the Necrotics' effort in reviving their ancient god, Aryva is a "dormant" form of anything resembling that, at best.

...That being said, Aryva possesses an ABSURD amount of power, just her "mystic" powers have seemingly not yet awakened. Certainly not to the capacity that they have with Relevae.

As such, Aryva's "Skills" revolve mostly around what magic she has been able to pick up, and what trades and techniques she has trained in over the years.

Personality:
In a word: "Spunky". Aryva is kind of "touchy" about certain subjects, and has much of the mannerisms and cadence of a nerdy girl in her mid-20s. This only further feeds into Relevae's loving teasing of Aryva, which is none lessened before or after Aryva's 1,000 year absence.

Aryva has a certain chip on her shoulder when interacting with other demons or people who know about her power: They all innately FEAR her because of her ability to.. .well, blow things up. Aryva has wanted to prove for her entire life that this ever-present fear is unfounded, and that she is NOT EVIL. (even the RISALANs innately thought she was evil) It's like a weird aura she gives off and just can't control.

Looks:
Aryva possesses a "Curvy/Cuteness" that is somehow bellied by an ever-present aura of darkness. It may not be visible in the drawing, but... I suppose in a colored version, there's a certain... "thing" about her that repels even more than it attracts. As such, Relevae's boyfriends tend to be either oblivious of her aura or attracted to slightly "goth-y" girls, as she doesn't LOOK "goth-y" but the aura kind of feeds it.

Aryva's sense of fashion, though hand-tailored by Relevae (who has good tastes), is kind of a blend of "modern / futuristic"-styled clothing with a blend of Japanese patterning / flare, similar to Geisaro fashion and also the current styles that are "hot" in Geisaro's Human Realm.

As was the case for Relevae, this is only Aryva's "Pre-transformation" form...
