Soooo.... a bit of a story to this one.

A couple of days ago, I was sketching something (I'm sure it'll show up in one of my sketch dumps, if I don't just decide to submit it on its own pretty soon) and I shared a progress shot with a friend, and, I admit, it carried pretty good dramatic positioning.

...But one of my friends decided to be a complete dick about it, and turned it into a scene out of a dating sim game, referencing to our dear friend, nicknamed "Orange Boi" >3>;;

Today, a friend shares a picture with me, and I share it with a group of my friends.

...He does it again. He doesn't even realize he did it, but that comment was enough to put the thought in my head.

Realtalk, a friend of mine wondered if I might be able to illustrate a visual novel he has a team working on.
...I honestly have no idea, but I also sort of made this as a test to see if I could capture the sort of art direction their previous artist wanted to go with.
...I don't think I succeeded really, but this was fun to try.

Also, was giving me crap for my sketches being.... not always the easiest to read, when I do the multi-colored stuff, while commenting that when the sketches are at least done with dark-ish colors (or only one or two colors), they are relatively easy to read.

....Well I took that input and tried to do something focusing on using only THREE colors, and I came out with this. (...though technically I fudged it a little, and used neon cyan in several places, as well as gold for her eyes) My palette of 3 colors, I integrated into a little square grid thingy for the "Next" indicator for the chat in the little dialogue mock-up thingy here : 3
