The whole point of the story is that there is always light in darkness; not so much different from the themes of your stories. But I digress, it is quite depressing in many places.

Pretty cool. I wasn't under the impression that Ponyville had suffered a direct hit from a balefire bomb though and I would have expected a bit more thorough destruction. It seems odd that Town Hall is still standing, considering how easily Ditzy/Depry damaged it in the TV show. Otherwise, nice job portraying the truly abysmal state of affairs.

I'm pretty sure Ponyville didn't get hit with the Megaspells. If it had, there would be much more damaged. but it was old, and the raiders in Ponyville didn't take care of it(it as in Ponyville)so it kinda got destroyed little by little over time.
