Description well i originally was doing this one in my summer econ class... origional tool like 4 hours and 40 min to make on the lined paper i had with me, people commented they wished that i had it not on lined paper and guess what, i was maknig a copy for my friend and decided to upload the picture that i made for her, im just that smart you know? well this one is on some watercolor paper with my india ink and the whole process of transfering image with what i had, then drawing it so i could see it, then putting ink on... took 10 hours, but that was cuz i took xtreme care and such... still, i like how it turned out

*Stunned*.....this is THE shit! I'm really impressed with this. You could easily sell prints.

Critique: Your linework is awesome, but you need to focus on and add some deapth to your shading. Here, the shading has all the same weight. Luv the B&W effects..but what would you think about adding a very light color presence? Perhaps only to the shaded parts. Keep it subtle so that it isn't the first thing that the eye picks up. Finally, what do you think about doing the final piece on a textured background? Parchment would give the perfect effect. Printed texture may take too much away from the image. Or, paint it on a stone. Light grey slate (not machined) would also give a random texture and background color. Give it some thought and let me know what you think. Great job here!!!

omg i am in total agreement with you! and i am glad ya like it haha i am making one for my friend right now as it were

critique response: thank you very much for this btw i appreciate it.

shading i did it as more of an afterthought and i was actually thinking of making it with some more depth and all but honestly, after all that time and considering it was in pencil and not ink and i woudl hate ot skrew up and end up erasing my lines with my mistake... i decided to get a picture as it is now first but ya i will have to try that out... when i finish the copy i am making i willhave to get a pic hten print out some copys to experiment with.

color. i LOVE color and using color believe it or not and using it in these pictures really is a good idea and wouldnt have occured to me cuz im used to the black ink at this point. i will definatly make a point to try that

texture: i love drawing on textured stuff, i dont know about parchment, never used it and dont know what its like but i actually did get some paper for these... at christmas i had brought this pack of watercolor paper that was teh size of postcards to make stuff for my friends... welli decided i really liked how the ink worked on it so at the craft store i saw this pack of cheap watercolor paper (as in like. $1.99 cheap) so i got that... i think it will turn out pretty cool. but ya texture is fun. as for the final piece? i think there will be a few a couple of my fiends asked for one and then i will make one for me so i will have pleanty of texture opportuinities as for painting on stone... THAT WOUDL LOOK HELLA COOL! oh i want to do that.. tho it would have to be a big stone lol but ya... thta is such a good idea i want to try that! tho i woul dhave to figure out a different way to transfer the pattern over thats not a prob

*ROLLS ON THE FLOOR LAFFING* ......sorry, it's not you....it's meeeee!! Carbon paper is an old school method of transferring something from one medium to another so you wouldn't have to write it out twice. Makes an exact copy. The stuff is still around but is seldomly used anymore.

honestly the thought of pointed ones didnt really occur seriously to me.. i thought that the pointy fins and such was a lot and doign those as scales would have been a bit much and the round would offset tht part and i donno... soften? it a bit? i didnt get as inton the scales as i had planned.. i had wanted to give them a bit more thickness but i didnt want to skrew them up lol.

dragons. i so wish i could draw them. so far it does not work
