I recognized where this came from just from the thumbnail. The Immortal Game is what made me dive into long MLP fanfiction. I have a piece of fanart for it too, somewhere in my poni folder.

Twilight's godslayer spell in that fic was, for lack of a better term, awesome. I never speculate before then there would ever be a magical version of a magnetohydrodynamic weapon appearing in fantasy fiction.
There are few things in the universe that could withstand the impact of a projectile travelling at near the speed of light. Especially if said projectile is a hyper-velocity stream of highly energized molten metal.
