In my "What If I was in Dragon Ball?" story, my intervention changed a lot of things, both for the best and the worst. After defeating Cell and the parting of Future Trunks, I insisted on going back to Gero's lab to retrieve everything we could to avoid the Red Ribbon army to try something like this again. I tried to see if android 16 was on the lab, but sadly, Cell completely destroyed him while he was still inactive on his capsule since he didn't need it to achieve perfection and probably thought it could be a potential threat. However, we still recovered Gero's blueprints of the androids to get rid of 17 and 18's bombs on Krillin's request. I was going to suggest it anyways so we didn't have to use the Dragon Balls, but I think Krillin just wanted to do it for 18, so I gave him all the credit once we told 17 and 18 Bulma would be removing their bombs to aid him on his "quest".

While doing that I was just catching up with everyone else, and noticed that Yamcha was quite... off. After talking for a bit, he talked about how he felt hopelessly left behind by everyone else ever since the Saiyans arrived. Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo and I had become so strong that we seem unreachable, things didn't work out with Bulma, Krillin was already planning to get a job and Tien Shinhan intended to open his own martial arts school, whereas he had no goal and to make matters worst, he was the weakest of all humans. Knowing things won't get much better for him on the future, an idea comes to me. I tell him about it and at first he is hesitant, but after a little while, he made his mind. We then go to Bulma to help with the procedure, and at first, she is unsure, but after some convincing, she accepted. Not long after, on Capsule Corp's lab, Yamcha is reborned... as an android.
