Pretty sure this is a Lovecraft reference, they did say there were going to be a lot of horror Easter eggs.

Fun fact! She's an ammonite with crab legs! Nobody seems to get that right, but you got most her down perfectly!

Apparently more concept art has been released of Scylla, Behemoth, Tiamat, and Sargon!

notice in the credits they say she went to antartica to slow the melting of ice-caps
makes me wonder if the tentacle cthulhian fatures wasnt just a nod to scylla in mythology, but also to lovecraft
mountains of madness anyone?

When you said speed sculpt, you werenβt kidding. I really like this take on Scylla. You never disappoint on your designs

I looked up the origins of the name Syclla, seems similiar to a hydra from greek mythology. perhaps the greeks only ever interacted with the tentacles?

Very nice! Did you use a smudge brush on the render to drag out the hairs on the legs?

No problem. I see, that's very handy for adding more movement and making things look more organic in post!

Looking at it, it seems like a homage to both Kumonga and Gezora.
I do hope we see more of Syclla in Godzilla vs. Kong to see how she's helping sort out the environment.
Great work as always.

Looks great so far. I would be interested to see if you can make out the detail on that mountain one. It's hard to get a grasp on exactly why that body was suppose to look like :/

Itβs like when Kumonga and that monster squid rex from the ep1 of the Zilla series (Which redeemed the meh Godzilla 1998 movie which I liked just wish they didnβt say Godzilla that is, itβs a bit off)

Incredible Job!!!Β
When I first sawΒ ScyllaΒ on screen I thought it wasΒ Kumonga Β I guess they had to come up with something that was reminiscent of Kumonga without actually using Kumonga because of licensing fees. They also stateΒ Scylla is having a positive impact on theΒ environment by slowing down the ice melting in Antarctica, stabilizing the world sea levels. HOW!?!Β

I always imaged Scylla as Cthulhu in an elaborate Harvestman costume. Strange, but certainly interesting
