Helloooooo there,
my name is Felix Berner, I am from Germany and one of the founders of the Starship Troopers German Division: www.facebook.com/Starship.Troo⦠- we are hired (without payment - but hired, haha) to be part of a giant convention in Germany, the GERMAN COMIC CON and we want to have a huge photo area at our stand - with a photo-background! Therefor we need a BUG! We found your amazing artwork and this is why I want to ask you, if there is any chance to get YOUR PERMISSION to use your bug for our background - our stand and organization are NON-PROFIT. It is just for fun!
The BUG I am talking about: dopepope.deviantart.com/art/zWβ¦
If you want to answer, just write back here, or via our facebook site.
Kind Regards,
Felix

I watched the movie on TV lastnight, and for the first time, noticed they had actually little eyes.

Not the biggest fan of the movies, but I will admit one thing: love the design for these guys. It's like someone took the nightmares of a demonic crackhead, brought them to life and then made them metal.

this is really amazing, it's a long time since I've seen the film(s), have you tried to make this movie accurate or have you added a few of your own twists to it? In case you have, I must say job well done, it's awesome. I'm just asking because I checked out the turnaround and I don't remember them to have a smaller pair of those mantis arms Overall I think it's a brilliant way to show off a 3d sculpture in all its glory, and it let me really appreciate the attention to detail and the time it must have taken to make this. thank you for making my evening today!

Thanks so much for such kind words. All of my reference materials had those little extra limbs there by the eye. I'm certain they weren't made up.Β

Yes, indeed, I found some stills from the film and they do seem to have those tiny arms after all. I never noticed them though! Again, awesome work all around, the texture looks fantastic too!

I think I should probably become a watcher now with ya. I actually like most of the stuff you post since the time of the Titanosaurus pic.

loving the painted texture. And a nice sculpt as well, though I enjoy mudbox more than zbrush
